Dear Parents and Guardians,
We are excited to welcome you back to another school year at Watkins Middle School! We look forward to a year filled with growth, learning, and success for your child.
To ensure that you are well-informed about school activities, events, and important announcements, we will be sending out a monthly newsletter. This newsletter will contain essential information and will also be accessible on our school website. Please note that we are currently in the process of updating our website to a new platform, and we will provide more details about this as the process progresses.
To stay connected and receive timely updates, we encourage you to approve messages in the Home Access Center. This will allow us to communicate important information directly to you. If you need assistance with Home Access Center, please don't hesitate to contact our school office.
We are eager to meet our incoming sixth grade students and their families at our upcoming Bulldog Bash and seventh and eighth grade students at Bulldog Express. These events are a wonderful opportunity to learn more about our school and connect with other families.

Important Transportation Update
This year, CFISD is implementing new transportation guidelines that will affect bus eligibility for some students. This may lead to an increase in the number of walkers and car riders at school. To ensure a smooth transition, we will have additional staff on hand during student drop-off to assist and manage the increased traffic. Please be patient with us during the first week as we adjust and refine our system based on your needs.
Bus Eligibility Information:
On August 8th, 2024, all students will receive a postcard detailing their bus stop information if they qualify for bus transportation.
For your convenience, you can access this information earlier by visiting the CFISD Transportation website: https://www.cfisd.net/parents-students01/transportation/transportation-plan-2024-25.
Click on "Am I eligible for bus transportation for 2024-2025" to determine your child's eligibility.
We understand this change may cause some adjustments, and we are committed to working together with you to ensure a safe and efficient transportation system for all students.
