Principal e-Note
Concord Elementary School - Aug 25, 2024 (Week 2)
As we finish up the first week of school, we want to thank all of our wonderful families for their support and enthusiasm. We’ve seen so much dedication and positivity from parents and students alike, which has been crucial to starting this school year off on the right foot.
We appreciate your efforts in helping your children adjust to new routines, supporting them in their learning, and being flexible as we navigate the first days back. Your patience, especially during the unexpected technology issues at Thursday’s dismissal, did not go unnoticed.
We know that adjusting to a new school year comes with its challenges, and we ask for your continued patience as we work to get everything running smoothly. Your support and partnership are laying a strong foundation for a fantastic year ahead.
Thank you for all you do to make Concord Elementary a great place to learn and grow. Here’s to a school year filled with success, learning, and joy!
With gratitude,
Brian and Liz

Water Bottles
Students are welcome to bring their own water bottle to school. We asked that water bottles only contain water. We have water bottle fillers at multiple points around the school. (Drinks such as juice, soda, milk, lattes, etc… can be consumed in the cafe during lunch.)
Home Toys
We ask that students NOT bring toys from home, unless it is for a special reward in the classroom. This includes stuffed animals, Pokemon Cards, baseball cards, sports balls, and fidgets.
Arrival and Dismissal Notes
Arrival and Dismissal Updates
We are making some minor adjustments to our arrival and dismissal procedures to improve the flow of traffic through our parking lot. These changes are designed to help minimize congestion on Concord School Road and Twilight Drive. Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we work to make these improvements!
Arrival
During arrival, many cars come and go from the parking lot. To help keep traffic moving smoothly, we ask that families stay in their cars while dropping off their students. If your student has difficulty opening the car door, don't worry! We will have staff members outside to assist. This small effort will help us move cars through the drop-off line more efficiently. Thank you for your cooperation!
Dismissal
At Concord Elementary, we are continually working to improve the flow of traffic during dismissal. To help make this process more efficient, we ask that families utilize both lanes of the pick-up line. Currently, there is a higher number of cars using the left lane, which exits with a left-hand turn. The right lane exits with a right-hand turn.
To speed up the process for everyone, please start by filling the lane that is open. Thank you for your cooperation in helping us ensure a smooth and safe dismissal for all!
Flight School
Flight School Highlights!
This week, every student at Concord Elementary participated in Flight School, where they learned about our Concord Core Values and building-wide expectations. Understanding what is expected of them helps our students thrive because kids love to succeed! Our Flight School covered essential expectations for various areas, including the restroom, café, hallways, bus and playground. We’re proud of our students for embracing these lessons and demonstrating their commitment to our school's values. Go Flyers!

Look at how the project came together, and what its creators hope to bring to future iterations.

2024-25 Student Board Representative Advisory Group - Apply Today!
Hello! My name is Lara Pimentel and I am serving as the Student Representative for Lindbergh’s Board of Education for the 2024-25 school year. Representing students from across our district is important to me because I want to ensure that students get a say in their education experience. That is why I am looking for students currently in grades 4-8 to participate in next year’s Student Board Representative Advisory group.
Each month, I will visit a different school in the district and talk to a small group of students. These short meetings take place during the school day for elementary schools, and directly after school for middle schools. In these meetings, I ask questions to the group of students and gather feedback regarding their experiences at Lindbergh. We look at what our schools are doing well and which areas could be improved upon.
From there, I share key information with the Board of Education and provide suggestions on ways to address student concerns.
So, if you are interested in representing your classmates, please fill out this form before Friday, Sept. 6!
