Note: This weekly newsletter is being sent to all of our enrolled families, both those at the Broadway K-8 campus and those whose students attend class at Operation Breakthrough, so that all families are aware of upcoming events.
Second Semester Clubs
Clubs begin next Monday, February 3rd! If your student has a confirmed spot in a club and you have not yet paid, please be sure to pay the club fee before tomorrow, Tuesday, January 28th by logging into your Parent Portal, clicking Fees, then adding the club fee to your cart and checking out. Any students with unpaid balances will not be allowed to start clubs the first week.
Students signed up for clubs must be picked up promptly at 5:00 pm at the green benches on the south side of the school building. Please park and walk to the green benches to pick up your child from their club sponsor. All CampFire students who are participating in clubs will go to their CampFire classrooms after their clubs end.

Re-Enrollment for 2025-2026 Begins Later This Week
Re-enrollment for the 2025-2026 school year through the Infinite Campus Parent Portal opens this Saturday, February 1st! This is a quick process of confirming your family information and shouldn't take more than 5-10 minutes, depending on how many students you have enrolled.
In order to be prepared to re-enroll in a timely manner, please make sure that you are able to log into your Parent Portal. If you have any issues accessing your Parent Portal, please reach out to Tisha Kidd as soon as possible.
Please note that if you have moved since completing your original enrollment, you must update your address and submit one proof of residency. Additionally, students must have updated immunization records on file before beginning school in August, and re-enrollment is the best time to submit them.
Spots for next year are only guaranteed until Friday, February 28th, at which time all remaining seats will be offered to new students in the lottery. Please make sure you complete re-enrollment in February! You can learn more by visiting the Re-Enrollment page of the CWCKC website.
If you have other children whom you would like to enroll as new students at CWC for the 2025-2026 school year, be sure to fill out the SchoolAppKC application before March 1st so that they have the best chance for a spot in the lottery. Reach out to Katy Lineberry with any questions about enrollment for new or current students.
January Board Meeting
Here are some highlights from the January meeting of the Board of Directors:
- We continue to work with our building owner on the purchase of the Broadway building. Everything is on track and progressing on schedule.
- Dr. Miles confirmed that the Missouri Public Charter School Commission invited us to submit our charter renewal, and work on that will begin soon.
- Our finances continue to be in a strong position.
Members of the community are always welcome at monthly board meetings. Board meeting minutes and other materials are always available on the Board Materials page of the website!
