Dear parents and carers.
We have a great end to the half term! All children have enjoyed some time out of the classroom doing Forest School this week. As this is the third forest school week of the year, we are really seeing the progression in children's teamwork and resilience as they tackle activities such as fire lighting and using tools. Year 6 had their day outside in rather wet conditions, but still had a fantastic time, and didn't let the weather impact their day; we were very impressed with them!
Attenborough gave us a fantastic end to the half term this morning, with a class worship telling us all about their minibeasts learning. We were blown away by their confident speaking and enthusiastic singing. It has been lovely to have so many parents and carers into school this year to watch the class worships. We know it isn't always easy to get time off work to be able to join us at these events, so we really appreciate seeing so many of you. Attenborough have had a busy week, as they have also had a trip to Askham Bryan Wildfire where they did an exciting minibeast workshop. All of the adults were very impressed with their great listening and enthusiasm for the day.
The week finished with a Friends of Kirk Fenton 'Books and Bakes' sale on the playground. Thank you to those of you who very kindly donated cakes, and to the parents and carers who were able to support the sale. The children benefit in so many ways from the money raised by the Friends, so we are very grateful for the work they put into raising money for the school.
Thank you for all of your support this half term. We hope you all have a safe and restful half term.

Message from Head Pupils
This week, the whole school has been busy on the field enjoying forest school.Even though the weather wasn’t great everyone enjoyed getting stuck in and everyone got very wet and muddy. Attenborough did their class assembly this morning although we didn't get to watch it we are positive they did amazingly. Have a wonderful half term.
