Mariner Times
January 20, 2025
Good evening, Mariner Families,
On this day, a day to remember the contributions of the most influential civil rights leader of our time, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., and the day our 47th president, President Donald Trump was sworn in, let us remember that our actions and our words influence our youth. They are watching us and looking to us for leadership, direction, and a safe place to develop and express their opinions and beliefs. Let us be that safe place. Let us model respect, compassion, and show our students the best possible version of what this great country was meant to be. Let us remember the sacrifices of those before us and continue to work towards a better and stronger future.
I hope Mar Vista High School is a place where all students, all opinions, and all beliefs are respected, safe, and valued. Nothing is more important.
Happy Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Mariners! And happy Inauguration Day! Today is also the College Football Championship and you all know I'm a Bruin, but may the best team win!
Have a wonderful 3 day weekend.
Sincerely,
Teresa Kramer
