RECAP Sister School Visit- Huang Cheng Gen Elementary School

Thank you to all of our students, families/parents, teachers and staff for making our visit from our sister school from China- Huang Cheng Gen Elementary School this past Monday. We will share more photos and items from our visit in our upcoming newsletter on Sunday.

Calling All Interested 3rd/4th/5th Graders

Sign-ups Monday, October 7th-Wednesday, October 9th

Mandatory Meeting for Innovation Club participants & ALL Innovation Expo participants on Thursday, October 10th 3:30pm-4:30pm MPR

Our Innovation Club is for 3rd-5th grade students and space is limited. Sign-ups will be shared with GATE students on Monday, October 7th and Tuesday, October 8th. If space permits we will open to the general community on Wednesday, October 9th. You will be notified on Wednesday, October 9th for the need to attend Thursday's mandatory meeting. We are anticipating to carry a waitlist for this club. If you are absent 3 or more times for the club meeting sessions, you will be dropped from the club. A second session will be hosted in January (after the district Innovation Expo) for students that are not able to join us for the next few weeks.

3rd/4th Grade- Tuesdays starting October 15th-Novemeber 19th 3:30pm-4:30pm

5th Grade- Thursdays starting October 17th-November 21st 3:30pm-4:30pm

We will also host science pop-up sessions for our littles in January. More news to come.....

The district hosted Innovation Expo is on Friday, December 6th. All participants interested in potentially participating should also attend the mandatory informational meeting on Thursday, October 10th at 3:30pm in the MPR. We will host a Field Elementary Innovation Expo to determine the winners that will represent our school site in the district Innovation Expo on December 6th. We can send 10 competitive entries and 10 non-competitive entries to the expo. This event will be hosted on Friday, November 22nd (site based Innovation Expo)

Eugene Bucks- $5.00 for all Innovation Expo participants/entries.
