MISSION STATEMENT
Our goal at 153rd St. is to build the capacity of social responsibility for all our students. To reach this, we use the 153rd Street ES Positive Behavior Expectations:
- Be Safe

- Be Respectful
- Be Kind
Inspirational Quote
Teachers play a vital role in shaping young minds and fostering a love for learning. They dedicate their time, energy, and passion to educating and inspiring students every day. Recognizing and appreciating their hard work and dedication needs to happen every day. We've reserved a special week to highlight it.
Whether it's a simple thank you note, a small gift, or a heartfelt gesture, showing gratitude to teachers can make a big difference in acknowledging their impact and making them feel valued.
Support staff such as custodians, cafeteria workers, administrative assistants and administrators keep the school environment safe, clean, and organized. Counselors offer emotional support and guidance to students facing challenges.
Each member of the Tiger staff contributes to the overall educational experience and helps create a supportive and nurturing environment for students to learn and grow. I deeply appreciate the entire staff at 153rd Street Elementary School. It's an honor to be part of the Tiger village.
