Dear Lebanon Elementary School Families,
October is upon us and the school year is in full swing. Our schools are full, busy places and it is wonderful to see all of the fabulous student learning happening everywhere. The weather is changing and we continue to have the students outside as much as possible, so please send your student in with layers.
Sincerely,

PBIS for Families
PBIS in the Cafeteria
We have expected behaviors for students to follow in many spaces in our buildings, the hallway, the classroom, the playground and the cafeteria. We are including our expected behaviors for the cafeteria. Please help us by reviewing these expected behaviors with your student(s). Thank you for your help and support.
Math Moment
Interested in a Math Webinar Series?
The elementary math coaches are interested in finding more ways to involve parents and families in their child's math education. Last year we were able to launch the Monthly Math Moments podcast. In addition to the podcast, we are looking to determine the level of interest in a monthly webinar series. Please complete this google form regarding your interest in a math webinar series. Thank you for your time.

Around the School
First Grade - Apple Orchard Field Trip
Our first grade classes visited McKenzie Apple Orchard in September. They painted pumpkins, went on a hayride and came back with a bag of apples and some apple cider. The weather cooperated and it was a great day.
PBIS Around the School
Students are earning green tickets/tokens for following expected behaviors around the school. Students are bringing their tickets to the school store and turning them in for a variety of different rewards, including gum, PJ day, a notepad, using the principal's chair for a day, reading to another class, making a fruit smoothie with Mrs. Lodge or choosing a friend for fine dining. Here are a few pictures:
Community Meeting
Our first community meeting was held Friday, September 27th. We are trying something new this year and meeting all together as a K-5 community, aligned to our theme, "one team-one school".
We recognized all students with 100% attendance for the month of September. The 5th grade team introduced and modeled, through a video, our character club trait of respect.
Parent Teacher Organization (PTO)
The PTO has been busy treating staff to an opening day breakfast, sprucing up the playground with some new activities and materials as well as hosting a fall clean up. They are also planning a Walk-a-thon for the school. This is a big event and lots of fun for our students. We hope you can sponsor your child or come to cheer them on. Information is the flyer below.
