STAAR Testing
A few things we'd like to remind you about STAAR testing - -
**STAAR testing is not what it's all about, it does not define your student, our teachers, or our school, however, it is an important piece of the puzzle as we move forward to the next year of learning. We want each of our students to do their best and look at STAAR testing as an opportunity to share what they have learned this year**
Please remind students to keep all devices at home or put up during on STAAR testing days. All devices will be asked to be turned off and turned in while testing is in progress. This includes; phones, watches, air pods and any other devices. Students will have their devices returned when all testing has been completed for the day.
Students will have breakfast available, please make sure they are on time to school.
iReady Pizza Party and Water Day
We also want to celebrate those students who have earned a Water Day. Students were given the criteria they must meet to earn this water day. More details will be provided for those students joining us on Water Day closer to time.
Criteria given to students
- no more than 3 tardies a week for the 4 week period (allows for 3 a week)
- no more than 4 total absences for the 4 week period (allows for 1 a week)
- no more than one office referral a week for the 4 week period
- students may not have been assigned ISS/DAEP or sent home for their behavior during this 4 week period
Finishing Strong
Summer School
Mr. Wilson will be meeting with students in the coming weeks to determine if they will have assigned summer school and the length of that assignment. Summer school will be based on attendance, overall grades for each semester and STAAR scores.
We are grateful for the opportunity to teach your child. Thank you for sharing them with us and for entrusting us with your student's learning.
We look forward to continuing a great 2021-2022 school year.
