Coffman Parents
We have had a great start to the second semester here at DCHS!
In the coming days there will be several opportunities for parents and families to connect with the Coffman Staff. Two of those opportunities include Virtual Parent Q&As this upcoming Wednesday, and Parent Teacher Conferences on Thursday, January 23rd. Details regarding both events can be found below.

Parent Teacher Conferences
Thursday, January 23, 2025
- 3:00 PM 6:30 PM
- Appointments are required and may be scheduled with your student's teacher for an in-person or virtual conference.
- Please email your student's teachers directly to schedule a conference.

Attention 8th Grade Parents
DCHS 8th grade Curriculum Night is planned for Thursday, January 23, 2025 from 6:30 - 8:00 PM in the PAC. Dublin Coffman is welcoming 8th grade parents with students who will be attending Coffman High School beginning in August 2025. During Curriculum Night, you will learn about graduation requirements, course descriptions and sequencing, and an introduction to our Coffman community. Furthermore, we will have a break out session which allows you the opportunity to meet with teachers in various disciplines. Coffman school counselors will be greeting families from 6:00-6:30 p.m. as they arrive for this evening's presentation. We look forward to having you join us!
For those unable to attend a copy of the evening's presentation will be shared with parents via their home middle school.
Testing Information
Seal of Biliteracy Spring Testing Opportunity
The Seal of Biliteracy recognizes students who can demonstrate a high level of proficiency in English and at least one other language.
The Seal of Biliteracy assessment window will provide students the opportunity to show proficiency in a second language. Please see the requirements in the attached document. If you are interested in this testing opportunity, complete this form by Friday, January 17, 2025.
Students who register to take the test and meet the requirements must submit a payment of $25 via PaySchools by February 28, 2025. Financial assistance is available for those students who qualify.
Spring testing will take place at Dublin Coffman High School on Saturday, March 8, 2025.

Scheduling Information for 2025-2026 School Year
- 2025-26 Course Scheduling Cards have been distributed to all students.
- Schedule Collection will begin next Wednesday, January 15th during assigned Math Classes.
- Students will meet one on one with their school counselor during schedule collection.

Scheduling for Success: Academic Programs & Pathways
Mark your calendar for a districtwide event Scheduling for Success on Tuesday, January 14th, from 6:30 - 8:15 p.m. at Coffman High School. Hosted by the district Academic Team, this event will equip families with the tools and knowledge needed to confidently plan their high school student’s academic future. The evening will begin at 6:30 p.m. in the PAC with an overview of the scheduling process and key information relevant to all families, no matter where they are in the process.
Following the presentation, breakout sessions will provide opportunities for families to explore specific topics and receive tailored guidance. Topics include:
- Graduation Requirements: Understand what is needed to graduate and how your student will earn their graduation seals.
- Pathway Planning: Learn how to use the Four-Year Planner to create a personalized academic journey. Explore how Dublin City Schools utilizes YouScience and SchooLinks to help students connect their interests, aptitudes, and opportunities.
- College Credit Courses: Discover the many ways students can earn college credit while in high school, including AP, IB, CCP, and CTAG courses.
- Graduation/Scheduling Info for Families of Students Receiving Special Education Services: Learn about graduation requirements, pathways and resources that are designed to support students who are receiving intervention services through an Individualized Education Plan (IEP) or 504 Plan.
Emerald Campus and Tolles Student Opportunities
Emerald Campus and Tolles Programs Fair
- Emerald Campus and Tolles Programs will be visiting Coffman on January 14th during all lunches providing additional information during the scheduling process.
- Located in the Coffman Student Union during all lunches, 5ABC
Open House at Emerald Campus
Thursday, January 16th, 4:00–6:00 p.m.
Join us to explore the learning opportunities available at Emerald Campus, including Academies, International Baccalaureate (IB) Courses, College Credit Plus (CCP), and Tolles.
This event is designed for high school students and their parents. Although most programs are tailored for 11th and 12th graders, it’s never too early to start planning for the future!
Students and parents can explore specific programs and courses, meet teachers, and learn about various opportunities.
Repeat informational presentations on district pathways, IB Diploma and Course Options, Academies, and College Credit Plus (CCP) will also be offered at 4:00, 4:30, 5:00, and 5:30.

Twilight School
Twilight School/Homework Help will resume on Wednesday, January 15, 2025. Twilight School is held on Wednesdays after school, in the library from 3:00 pm to 4:30 pm. Students do not need to remain at Twilight School the entire time and will have the freedom to leave early if needed. Transportation will be provided at 4:30 pm. Cap and Gown Ordering Deadline - January 31, 2025

- Cap and Gown financial assistance is available for those who qualify. Speak with your school counselor for details.
- All orders must be received no later than January 31, 2025.
- Graduation orders will be delivered during school on April 3rd and 4th

- All ceremonies will be held at the Jerome Schottenstein Center on the Ohio State Campus

- At this time there is open seating and no tickets are required

Parent Information Packets
- A complete parent packet including graduation and spring senior activities dates and deadlines will be mailed to all senior households via US mail in early March. Stay tuned for details.
Community Champion Scholarships Available
Scholarship Awards for seniors wishing to continue their education or enter post-high school career training or development are available here. Deadline to submit is February 21, 2025.

Community Week for Bishop Elementary PTO
The 22 PTOs across Dublin City Schools are collaborating to ensure the Bishop Elementary PTO can hit the ground running to serve students, staff and families. Community members may support their efforts and the Bishop PTO by participating in many dining to donate opportunities available at local establishments (See the flyer for details). Families may also donate directly through the Glacier Ridge PTO via Venmo (@GlacierRidgePTO). Learn more about their efforts here. National Veterans Memorial and Museum Events over MLK Weekend
Battle of the Bulge: 80 Years Later: Step into history and commemorate the 80th anniversary of the Battle of the Bulge with an immersive experience. This is an incredible opportunity for students to connect with the past in a hands-on, engaging way.

DCS Instrument Recycling Program
Dublin City Schools is pleased to introduce our Instrument Recycling Program. Families may drop off used instruments to the Emerald Campus any time during business hours. If you have an old instrument your child is no longer using, we would love to have it to share with another student. We will ensure it is properly cleaned and repaired if necessary. We thank you in advance for your donation. A donation receipt will be provided upon request at the time of drop-off.
