Principal Nelson's Thoughts
The month of October can be tough for teachers. It's the middle of the semester, there is a long way to Thanksgiving and at times teachers can feel overwhelmed and discouraged. While we try to do fun things at Sharon to keep teacher's spirts lifted and keep them encouraged, we need your help. I want to challenge you to do something to encourage your child's teachers, including their specials teachers. Send them an email, write them a letter, send them a card, or do anything you can think of to make sure they know how much you appreciate them so that they know they are valued. Thanks for being so supportive of our amazing teachers!

Think First & Stay Safe Lessons
We all share a common goal for our children to be safe and protected from all things harmful. In support of this goal, school counselors will soon present annual lessons to students designed to increase their personal safety and protection. The Think First & Stay Safe™ program is a research-based program that teaches specific personal safety education.
If you prefer that your child not participate in the Think First & Stay Safe™ sexual abuse and safety prevention lessons, please write and sign a note or an email indicating your preferences and send it to your child’s school counselor. As always, counselors are available to discuss any questions or concerns you may have. See the letter sent home/attached below for more information. Please provide all written documentation by October 18, 2024 or the child will participate in the lessons. Please see the attached document for the letter was sent home with your student.
