Although there is no school for students during our Summer Break our offices will be open daily on Monday until Friday, from 7am until 3pm, for in-person and telephone assistance, with the exception of the July 4 observed holiday.

If you did not purchase a yearbook we do have a limited amount available for purchase! Submit your $60 payment before supplies run out! Cash will not be accepted as payment.

With the move to all new transportation vendors, the process of transmitting transportation requests will come directly from our PowerSchool SIS server. If parents do not complete the 23-24 student registration form and request transportation, their seat on the bus will be given to someone else.

We will be accepting personal checks, money-orders and online payments after July 1st, 2023, for all outstanding fee balances owed. Franklin Academy is a NO CASH school and will NOT ACCEPT CASH for any payments due. We appreciate you adhering to our policy.

Once you are logged into the PowerSchool Parent Portal, you will find an "arrow" icon in the upper right-hand corner of the screen. Once you've clicked the icon, a new menu will appear. Using this menu, select the "School Payment Portal" link. The School Payment Portal link will take you to the payment processing page. If you have not created an account and linked it to your PowerSchool Parent Portal account, you will need to do so. Once you link your two accounts, clicking this link will automatically transfer your credentials and take you directly into the payment portal without requiring you to log in again.

Any student medications that were authorized for use during the 22-23 school year must be must be picked by 12pm on Friday June 9th, 2023, by a parent/guardian or another authorized indivudual. Please email Nurse Abi at clinic-ppk8@franklin-academy.org for information and to secure medication collection arrangements.

As agreed to by all Parents/Guardians and defined in the Parent School Contract, Franklin Academy families must complete service hours each academic year. Franklin Academy’s family service hour agreement states that Franklin families will be required to perform a minimum of eight (8) hours of service for the academic year regardless of the number of students enrolled. (Service hours can be performed from July 1st until June 30th of that school year.)

To Access the Volunteer Portal you are required to complete a one-time “Volunteer Application”. Once the application is approved, you will receive an email with instructions on the next steps, including a link to setup your portal password. All information will remain confidential.

Any remaining items that are not picked up during our Lost and Found events during the last two weeks of June, 2023, will be discarded on Saturday July 1st, 2023.

Eligible students will attend their academic camp starting on Wednesday June 14th, 2023! Ms. Parks will be in communication for all information for those registered families. The last day of Summer Academy is Friday July 14th, 2023.

Your child's end-of-year report card will be shared electronically to the email that you have on file in your PowerSchool account. A physical copy can be requested by reaching out to our Registrar. You will be charged for a hard copy of your child's report card or requested transcripts which can be paid for by a money-order or a personal check if requested after July 1st, 2023.

The 23-24 academic calendar for Franklin Academy Pembroke Pines K-8 is posted on our website (on the homepage) and all relevant and important dates have been added to the campus Events Calendar, which can also be added to a personal Google, iCalendar or Outlook calendar.

Students in Grade 5 - MYP Y3 are now eligible to participate in our MYP Athletic Program!

All paperwork shown below (and available on our website) must be completed and submitted prior to attending any tryout event for the 23-24 school year.

MYP students will receive their course specific supply list during the first week of school.

At the Broward County Public School Board meeting held on Tuesday, June 13, 2023, the School Board voted NOT to implement the proposed clear backpack policy for the 2023/24 school year. As a result, clear backpacks will no longer be required. As a reminder, Franklin Academy students may NOT use backpacks with wheels as this presents a safety hazard on campus. We will continue to keep you posted on any additional safety initiatives in the future.
