SMMS Remote Learning Information
Day 2
January 21, 2025
Due to inclement weather, Berkeley County Schools will have a REMOTE LEARNING DAY tomorrow, January 22, as we have used our designated snow days this year.
All teachers reviewed the procedures and expectations for the remote learning plan this past week. Students ARE required to log in for live classes tomorrow.
Today, I joined almost 30 classes! In each of those, I noticed the following:
- High attendance in the online classes
- Students joined the classes and were participating. Many even had their cameras on, which is our recommendation.
- Way to go students!! 👏👏👏
- Teachers working with students and teaching the content
- Teachers we online teaching, modeling, providing examples, and giving feedback to students.
- Many teachers also held office hours to answer additional questions.
- Way to go teachers!! 👏👏👏
Looking ahead, if additional snow days occur after our return to in-person learning, students will be required to participate in live classes. We will review guidance and instructions for students on how to log in and participate.
Thanks for your understanding and support as we navigate this adjustment.
Stay warm and safe!
