Wish Week is Coming!
What is Wish Week?
Wish Week is the time of the year where the entire Mountain Vista High School community comes together to raise as much money as possible for the Make-a-Wish Foundation. Make-a-Wish Foundation helps families with a child suffering from a life-threatening illness by granting their wish. This could be meeting a celebrity, going on a vacation, etc. MVHS adopts one Wish Kid each year to rally around and fulfill their wish. There will be lots more information about Wish Week in the next couple of months.
As you may know, our 6th Grade Leadership team has already begun fundraising to support the Wish Week efforts, and we are pleased to share two additional fundraising opportunities with our community. Mountain Vista partners with Be A Good Person brand to create and sell shirts to be worn during Wish Week, which are a huge hit in our community! The proceeds from shirt sales directly support Vistaâs fundraising efforts, and fosters some friendly competition between the elementary schools to see which school sells the most! Shirts are on sale now through January 17th.
Heritage Wish Week Shirt for Students/Parents/Community
Parents can also pre-order tickets to the Mountain Vista's 3rd Annual Wish Week Community Fair - a fun family event that includes pizza, a spaghetti dinner, carnival games, and much more! The Community Fair takes place on February 6th at Mountain Vista from 5 to 7 pm.
Tips from Mrs. Tudor
Lost and Found
Do you know where your kidsâ winter coats are? PLEASE come check out our lost and found in front of the school today and tomorrow. We have lots of coats, hats, mittens, lunch boxes, water bottles...even a surprise item or two!
Latex Balloons
We have been made aware of individuals in our building who have a significant latex allergy. Please do not bring latex balloons to school for parties, celebrations, or events as we cannot have them inside the building. Mylar balloons are a safe option that will be allowed inside.

Heritage Holiday Giving Tree
Please join Heritage PTO and PTO Staff Appreciation in recognizing administration, teacher aides, specials teachers, and other support staff for all they do for our children and our school. The Giving Tree allows staff members without a dedicated classroom to select gift cards from the tree, depending on the number donated. Heritage PTO is asking for donations of gift cards in $5 or $10 increments or cash to purchase gift cards. Please drop off your gift cards or cash labeled âGiving Treeâ by Friday, December 6th. Monetary online donations for the Heritage PTO to purchase gift cards can also be made here: https://ptoheritage.org/pto-payments/ols/products/heritage-giving-tree
