WMMS Scholar Bowl
There is still time to join the WMMS Scholar Bowl team! The Scholar Bowl team competes in head-to-head competitions against other middle school teams on questions from all subjects. Only 7th and 8th graders can compete in our matches and tournaments, but 6th graders are invited to practice with the team.
Practices will be after school Wednesdays until 4pm starting November 13. Matches and tournaments will begin in January. Come to Mrs. McNay’s room, C-7, to get a parent permission slip.
After School Tutoring Update
We want to emphasize that the after-school tutoring program at William Matthew Middle School is intended for students who are struggling to complete their homework and manage missing assignments. Due to limited space and resources, we will only be able to accept students who specifically need help in these areas. If your student does not have any homework or missing assignments, they will be asked to call home for a ride. Thank you for your understanding.
If you have any questions or need more information about our after school tutoring program please contact Ms. Jillian Pulis, jpulis@kirksville.k12.mo.us

7th and 8th Grade Computer Science Update
Our 7th and 8th grade Computer Science students have been diligently working on a variety of exciting projects this term. The 8th graders have focused on creating engaging coding games and designing vibrant school spirit posters to showcase throughout our building. Meanwhile, the 7th graders have explored their creativity through pixel art, pop art, and animations, all utilizing Google Workspace tools.
We invite you to visit Mrs. Gordy's Class Page to view the impressive work our students have accomplished: Mrs. Gordy's Class Page. Don't miss the chance to see their innovative projects!
