Students First, Every Day!
Dear White Oak Community,
Thank you to our PTA and all the amazing volunteers who made this year's Trunk-or-Treat event so much fun. What a great night! Thank you to those parents who created a trunk- they were all decorated so perfectly. Finally, thank you to our chairperson, Crystal Pascua, for her leadership and vision. A great time was had by all. Our PTA is really rockin' it this year!
White Oak is excited to have our annual Halloween Costume Parade on Thursday, October 31 at 8:45 a.m. Students are invited to wear their costume to school. We look forward to having a fun experience and bringing our community together. Parents will be allowed to attend the parade. You will enter campus through the main office gate just before the parade starts. On Halloween, please DO NOT send candy or food items to school with your child to pass out. Pencils, erasers, stickers or other non-food items are acceptable to give as Halloween goodies at school. Thank you for your support.
Your child is not required to dress in a costume on Halloween. If they do choose to participate:
- Costumes must be school appropriate.
- No color, sprays, or dyes should be on your child's hair.
- No masks may be worn. Make-up should not be worn either.
- Costumes may not include weapons or dangerous objects- nothing bloody or gory.
- School dress code still applies.
*** Please send your child with school clothes to change into after the parade ends. Regular clothes can also be worn under their costume. All students MUST change out of their costume at the conclusion of the parade.
Please remember that there is NO SCHOOL for students on Friday, November 1. Our staff will be participating in a full-day staff development training.
Cheers to Week 12. It's GREAT to be a WILDCAT!
Warmly,
Jen Culbertson

Our Character Trait for October is RESPECT!
Respect means that you accept somebody for who they are, even when they're different from you or you don't agree with them. Being respectful means you act in a way that shows care for how your actions may impact others. We can show respect for people, places, and things. We will be focusing on RESPECT the entire month of October.
