2024-25 School Year :: October 7, 2024
A Message from Mrs. Hankins
JSE family and friends,
UTSC Staff had our corporation-wide professional development day today. We came together as a district, broke off into groups to learn about things in our grade level/needs, and came together as schools to support our building needs. We know our students need to learn and grow, and so in order to support our children to the best of our ability, we also need to sharpen the saw and support our learning in the education profession.
This morning, we heard from Dr. Joe Sanfilippo, a recently retired superintendent from Wisconsin. He shared about celebrating our successes with each other.
You are loved at JSE,
- Mrs. Hankins
Celebrations
Mr. Hunter celebrated several high school media staff that have helped make the PD day and last week's presentations go smoothly.
Introductions
Mrs. Barnes welcomed our staff and introduced our guest speaker.
Everyone Attends
The PD day isn't just for teachers, but all staff! Here you see our office staff at JSE and UCE in attendance.
Parent Teacher Conferences
e-learning
During Parent Teacher Conferences students will be participating in e-learning. ELearning is accessed through your child's Canvas account. Some teachers will have a combination of books, packets, and computer time. These lessons are extentions of what we are learning, and can be done independently.

Please see the safety rules below. This will apply to all after school activities at each of the buildings at UTSC. Our number one priority is safety, and following these will help keep everyone safe while they enjoy the wonderful activities of the year! We thank you for your help with this!
