Dear PV Families,
The coming week is a very special one. This is the week we get to celebrate our teachers. If you haven't done so yet, kindly sign up to help us celebrate our teachers. We want our teachers to know how much we appreciate them.
We celebrated our Cafeteria Staff with the Superhero theme today. Our students came dressed in their superhero outfits, created and placed their thank you notes on the walls of the cafeteria for our cafe staff.
Our Preschool-5th graders visited Mrs. Lackman's in the SAILS program to spend time with colorful chicks and learn all about Easter Eggers.
The successful 4-day PTO Spring Book Fair concluded with a family night and ice cream social, $14,000 gross in sales! Thank you to Book Fair Committee members (Meredith & Katrina), PTO executives, and parent volunteers.
Walkathon:Gentle reminder to sign up for the Walkathon, if you haven’t yet!
We're still seeking PTO executive board members, committee members, and volunteers. As the saying goes, it takes a village, and you are part of the village. Please contact the PTO or email Amy Brown at abrown@swindsor.k12.ct.us to join us in making PV special. Thank you for helping enrich the educational experience of all our students.

Celebrating Asian American and Pacific Islanders Heritage Month
In honor of Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) Heritage Month, we’ve collected our favorite books featuring Asian and Pacific Islander characters created by Asian or AANHPI authors or artists. Formerly known as Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage month, the name change in 2022 wished to highlight the many unique cultures and diverse experiences people identifying as AANHPI have even though these groups are often lumped together as “Asian.”
Enjoy these fun and uplifting stories you and your family can visit over and over again — even when it’s not May.
Mrs. Lackman(SAILS) welcomes Mrs. LaGrange's Preschool class to meet the chicks!
