Viking Spotlight: 8th grader, Joseph Johnson
💛 Message from the Principal 💛
I can hardly believe it, but it is finally the final week of the school year! As we gear up for the last two days of final exams and look forward to celebrating our 8th-grade promotion, I am immensely proud of our students' hard work and dedication throughout the year. It has been an absolute pleasure serving this incredible community in my second year as your principal! For my last newsletter of this school year, I wanted to send a little message to each of our stakeholders:
8th graders: As you prepare to move on from middle school to the exciting new world of high school, I want to congratulate you on all your accomplishments and leave you with a few words of advice. High school is a time of new challenges, opportunities, and growth. Embrace each moment with an open mind and a positive attitude. Remember, the habits and skills you have developed at Mar Vista Academy will serve you well in this next chapter. Stay curious, work hard, and never be afraid to ask for help when you need it. Surround yourself with positive influences, set ambitious goals, and believe in your ability to achieve them. I am confident that you all have the potential to succeed and make a significant impact in high school and beyond. Best of luck on your journey, and always strive to be the best version of yourself! Congratulations! 🎓
7th graders: Congratulations on being halfway through your middle school journey! As you prepare to take on the responsibilities of being 8th graders, know that you will soon serve as the leaders of our campus. This is an exciting opportunity to set a positive example for the incoming 7th graders who will look up to you. Remember the challenges and mistakes you faced this past year and use those experiences to grow and become even better students in 8th grade. Embrace your role as mentors, showing kindness, respect, and dedication in everything you do. Your actions will shape the culture of our school and inspire others. I am confident you will rise to the occasion and make the upcoming year a great success. See you on July 24th! 😎
Viking Parents and Staff: Looking ahead, I am excited about the continued growth and improvement of our school. Over the course of the next 18 months, we will be undertaking a construction project to enhance our facilities, ensuring a more vibrant and welcoming learning environment for all. Our commitment to higher achievement and success for our students remains at the forefront, and I am eager to see the progress we will continue to make together! Thank you for trusting me to lead this ship...I couldn't do it without you! 💛
Wishing everyone a safe and happy summer!! 🤗 Let's make it a great week, Vikings!
