THIS WEEK:
Dear Parents,
As we approach STAAR testing this week, we want to ensure our students are feeling confident, prepared, and ready to do their very best. Your support and encouragement at home can make a big difference in how students approach the tests. Below are some simple but effective ways you can help your child succeed during this important week:
1. Ensure Timely Arrival
Please make sure your child arrives at school on time each day of testing. Being punctual will help them start the day calmly and avoid any added stress.
2. Get a Good Night's Sleep
A good night’s sleep is essential for your child to perform at their best. Please help your child get to bed early each night before the test so they are well-rested and ready to focus the next day.
3. Eat a Nutritious Breakfast
A healthy breakfast can give your child the energy and focus they need during the test. Encourage a balanced meal, such as oatmeal, eggs, or fruit, to fuel their brain and body.
4. Bring a Positive Attitude
Help your child approach the test with a positive mindset. Encourage them to stay calm and remind them that they have been well-prepared. A positive attitude can make a huge difference in how they feel going into the test!
5. Pack Necessary Items
Ensure your child has everything they need for testing, such as a water bottle, pencils, and any other materials specified by the school. A stress-free morning starts with being fully prepared!
***No Cell Phones/electronics-they will be picked up
***We do not have space for back packs on testing days. Please, keep them at home.
6. Do not schedule appointments on testing days
Please, give your child the opportunity to take their time on their test with no interruptions.
We are excited to see our students shine this week, and we are grateful for your partnership in ensuring they are ready for success. Thank you for your ongoing support!
Sincerely,

Atentamente,
Maricruz Perez
