PSAT Scores Available March 8
10th and 11th-grade students who took the PSATs in January will be able to access their scores on the CollegeBoard website beginning Monday, March 8. Students have received an email with information about accessing their scores and will meet with their school counselors during Guidance Seminar time on Friday, March 12 to review the many FREE test prep and college search resources available through CollegeBoard. These resources include feedback on areas of strength and areas of growth, information about the test questions themselves, and an opportunity to link their account with Khan Academy for free, individualized test preparation.

The PSATs are a big step for students as they continue to plan for life after high school and we are excited to work with them as they plan these next steps. As always, please reach out to your student's school counselor if you have questions.
SAT School Day - Register by March 12
We have been able to extend the deadline for juniors to register for the SAT School Day to Friday, March 12. The SATS will be administered at WHS on Tuesday, April 27. Please remember that we have had to cancel our Saturday SAT administration in May, so this is the only WHS test administration for this school year. Students can register using this form (students will need to use their school email to complete this form). Registration will remain open until Friday, March 12. The cost is $52 ($8 for eligible students). Payments can be dropped off to Mrs. Tracy in Guidance or mailed to her attention.
Because WHS is running this test, students will not register through CollegeBoard or receive email reminders from them. All communications about this test will come from the WHS Guidance Department.
If you have questions, please contact your school counselor or visit www.collegeboard.org. You can use Khan Academy for test prep and practice. You can also use your PSAT score report as an additional test prep resource.
Scholarships
Seniors will be meeting with Mrs. Tracy on Friday, March 12 during Guidance Seminars to review information about the WHS Scholarship Booklet. Each year, Watertown High School students are awarded over $90,000 in scholarships through this booklet. Students should check their Guidance Google Classroom or their email for the Zoom link.
Course Selection for 9th, 10th, and 11th Graders
We encourage students to review the Program of Studies and specific course prerequisites as they map out their courses for next year and beyond.
Upcoming Special Opportunities
Girls Who Code
Girls and non-binary students in grades 9-11 can apply to Girls Who Code’s Virtual Summer Immersion Program, a free, two-week virtual program in which students learn the computer science skills they need to make an impact, get an inside look into the tech field, and join a supportive sisterhood, all while being virtually hosted by companies. The general acceptance deadline is Friday, March 19. Apply today at girlswhocode.com/sipapply, and join an informational webinar to learn more!
The Food Project - Seed Crew
Each summer, we recruit 72 high school students between the ages of 14 and 17 across racial, socio-economic, gender identity, and geographic differences to work on our urban and suburban farms in Boston, Lincoln, Lynn, and Wenham, MA. During this six-and-a-half-week paid summer internship (July through mid-August), youth work with staff to grow vegetables and distribute thousands of pounds of produce, while developing leadership, teamwork, workplace, and civic participation skills.
Students can access the application at https://thefoodproject.org/seedcrew/.
