Thank you all for a great first week of school. Thank you to our PTO for the wonderful Cognia Celebration on Friday!


Our building looks really good and we are working daily to keep it clean. Reminder that Fall MAP testing begins on tomorrow. This assessment will be our base line data that we utilize to drive our instructional practices to meet the academic needs of your child. It is very important that your child arrives on time and present each day for testing.


Reminder that Curriculum Night is August 28th at 5pm in the cafeteria. We hope to see you all there!

ARRIVAL & DISMISSAL

  • School doors open at 7:00am and breakfast begins, to avoid traffic plan to arrive early!
  • After breakfast Intervention/Enrichment begins. This is a critical time for students that need support.
  • 7:30am breakfast ends
  • 7:40am Morning Announcements start
  • 7:45am Instruction begins
  • 2:15pm Dismissal begins, bus riders, van riders, walkers, car riders, and then aftercare are released
  • 2:30pm All students should be dismissed from classes.
  • 2:45pm Parents arriving after this time will have to pick their child up from aftercare and there is a drop in fee that you will be required to pay.

🍎 Lunch for the 2024-2025 School Year 🍎

DCSD will have free lunch this year however, we still need your support with completing the Meal Application Information 2024-2025. Only 1 Application Needed per Family: https://www.schoolcafe.com/


Please ALL complete this application process even if you plan to bring lunch for your child daily or believe that you will not qualify. This is very important, this impacts funding for Title 1.
