Congratulations to the PRM Girls and Boys teams! Our boys played in the playoffs and lost a very close game. It was truly a heartbreaking game!
Our girls were able to move from the playoffs to the Championship game on Wednesday at ARHS.

Student Drop Off Procedures
Please remember the only safe place to drop off your student is in the student drop off by the cafeteria. This is for the safety of all who arrive on campus.
Heritage Week - 11-13
Monday – World Kindness Day – there is room for everyone here at Pine Ridge. Let’s celebrate our differences and learn more about the world through the eyes of each other. Activities in classrooms promoting kindness. Please encourage your student to wear a kindness shirt!
Tuesday – final day for hall and door decorations and posters to go up. Judges will award prizes.
Wednesday – Judges will announce 5 individual winners of posters around the school promong our individual heritages. Those winners will receive prizes. A classroom prize will also be awarded for the best door or near wall decorations promoting our heritages and the cultures that make us who we are. The winning classroom will be treated to popsicles or ice cream. Winners will be announced on the morning news.
Thursday – Dress down day for students but they must be in nave costumes of their own cultures or wear the colors of their cultural country. For instance, a student whose ancestors are French might wear the tri-color (red, white, blue) of the French flag. Other dress code rules will be enforced, such as no gym shorts, no crocs, etc. Teachers will be treated to ethnic foods that day by area restaurants.
Friday – After lunch, students will be on a rotation for 3 sessions.
1st session
8th graders go graders will go outside for some OLYMPIC GAMES. Basketball and a tug of war will take place, as well as soccer and volleyball.
7th graders go to their 1st period (HR) classes for an ethnic foods period. **Food must be store bought with ingredients showing OR home made with recipe cards sing beside the food to show ingredients in case of allergies. We hope to expose all students to foods that are nave to other countries. Therefore, foods like nuggets from Chick Fil A would not be appropriate.**
6th graders will go to the MPR for our talent show (tryouts have taken place and are over).
2nd session
8th grade goes to the cafeteria for ethnic foods (see notes above).
7th grade goes to the MPR for the talent show.
6th grade goes outside for games.
3rd session
8th graders got to the MPR for the talent show.
7th graders go outside for games.
6th graders go to 1st period (HR) for ethnic foods (see foods note above).
Please remember that pick up will be delayed during this event as we will be in different locations than normal if you are trying to pick up your student outside of the normal dismissal time.

Dress Code!!!
Dress Code for Temperatures below 50 degrees
As the temperatures begin to fall, please remember that students may wear jeans any day of the week. Sweatpants may only be worn when the temperature is 50 degrees or below. Sweatshirts may be worn with the student badges on the outside.

Reminder about School Visits
Please schedule an appointment to meet with someone from PRM for your student. You can reach the proper staff by dialing 239-377-5000. Academic concerns would be with Guidance and then with Ms. Coloma. Student issues would be Guidance and then Mr. Badillo. Special Programs would be under the direction of Mr. Spencer. Finally, Mrs. Gordon is available after those steps. Parents will be asked who their appointment is with when they arrive at the school. Thank you!
