BWMS Family Update

BWMS Families,

Can you believe that its time to Fall Back this weekend? Everyone enjoys that extra hour of sleep but finding the sky getting dark earlier does take an adjustment. No matter the brightness in the AM or PM, we know that our classrooms will continue to be full or energy and excitement with engaging activities planned each day.

We are excited to welcome our local Veterans to BWMS on Friday 11-10-23. Special thanks to planning committee and many others for their support as they once again help our school honor our local heroes. Please find the details below for the final days to sign up for the 2023 Veterans Day Breakfast.

Also, we wanted to send out the update a day early as a reminder that BWMS will be released at 1PM on Friday, Nov 3rd as the buses are needed for transportation to the away playoff football game. Best of luck to our Eagles!

• BWHS, BWMS, and BWI will be releasing students at 1 PM on Friday, Nov 3rd due to the need for buses to transmit our football team to their playoff game. We will follow a modified version which will allow students to attend all classes. There will not be an Advisory class on this day.

• Picture Retakes will be on Tuesday 11/7/23. School pictures were sent home this week.
• The BWMS Scholastic Book Fair sponsored by our PTO will be Nov 6th-10th. Help us continue to grow in our literacy at BWMS with a new book.
• The BWMS Veterans Day Breakfast is Friday 11/10/23. Please register your student and family members using the Veterans Day Breakfast form today. We would love to honor your veteran. Additional details listed below but please RSVP by Tuesday 11/7/23.
• The mid point of the 2nd quarter is our Grade Update Day on Friday 11/10/23. This is a great time to check in with your student about their academic progress.
• The first BWMS Teen Night is Friday 11/17/23 from 6PM to 8PM. Cost is $5 at the door with our BWMS Student Council planning all of the events for students at our school (even if you're not a teen yet).
• Stay tuned for details about the annual Builder's Club food drive before Thanksgiving Break.

The 7th Annual Make A Difference Delaware County event is Saturday, November 18th from 9AM-12PM (flyer below). Each year, hundreds of volunteers help older adults with outdoor chores. Volunteers interested in participating in this family friendly event can register on our website and must be registered by Monday, October 16th to be guaranteed their requested shirt size or beanie. Registration closes on Sunday, November 5th.
