SWWC STUDENTS AT WORK!
SWWC Welcomed Current 10th Graders!
Our SWWC Student Council Reps, along with Mrs. Visel's leadership, provided tours to current 10-graders from Chelsea, Dexter, Lincoln, Manchester and Milan. This is an annual event to highlight our 23 Career and Technical Education programs. The goal is to bring awareness and help current 10th graders decide which SWWC program they'd like to enroll in for the 25/26 school year.
Health Science Students Compete At Their First HOSA Conference!
Students from the SWWC Health Science program showcased their exceptional skills and dedication at the recent HOSA Regional Event held on Saturday, January 11th, in Bedford. The event brought together students from across the region to compete in a variety of health science and leadership events.
This was an incredible experience for students to demonstrate their knowledge, skills, and passion for healthcare. HOSA events challenge students in areas such as healthcare knowledge, leadership, teamwork, and communication skills, providing a strong foundation for future careers in the medical field.
Dexter students Izzy Cubberly and Alice Trinkle both earned the opportunity to attend the State competition at the Grand Traverse Resort this Spring! Lincoln students Grace Hoelzer and Sara Taylor, Amber Fowler from Manchester, Lila Mckenna and Mary-Katherine Wayne from Milan, and Saline students Solina Lin and Bella Apone all attended the event.
“We’re so proud of how they represented our school and community with professionalism and determination.” says Mrs. Welt, the Health Science instructor.
HOSA – Future Health Professionals is an international student organization that promotes career opportunities in the health industry and enhances the delivery of quality healthcare. HOSA empowers its members to become leaders in the global health community through education, collaboration, and experience.
