News from the Office
ENROLLMENT FOR NEXT SCHOOL YEAR IS NOW OPEN. Please go to hseschools.org to enroll your child. Incoming Kindergartners need to be 5 years old on or before 8/1/24 to enroll. You will need to provide a birth certificate, immunizations to date, and proof of residence. Only new students need to enroll. If your child currently attends DCE you do not have to enroll every year. If you are planning on a move over the summer, please let the office know.
Please have your child arrive on time for school. Remember, first bell rings at 7:30 a.m. Students are tardy to class if they are not in their classrooms by 7:40 a.m.
Please use School Dismissal Manager to report how your child goes home. You can also use it to report absences or late arrivals due to appointments. You can also call the Attendance Line at 317-594-4840 to report an absence. If you need help, please call Stacy or Bonnie in office. Just a reminder to let office know reason for absences. If no reason given, student is given an unexcused.

Dine To Donate: Handel's Ice Cream
Deer Creek Elementary is hosting a spirit day at Handel’s Homemade Ice Cream. This event is only on Wednesday, May 15, 2024 from 3pm to 10pm. Every flyer is that is returned/presented to Handel’s on that one special day will be totaled and DCE will receive 20%. We hope to see you all of you, along with your “friends and family” to support our group. It will be a day in which everyone will enjoy their favorite ice cream!
2024-2025 School Shirt Order
Order your student's FREE Deer Creek Elementary grade level t-shirt for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year to guarantee sizing. Shirts will be handed out at the DCE Open House so your student can wear their shirts to the first day of school! If you do not place an order PTO will still provide a shirt for all students, but can not guarantee sizing. If you have questions in regards to sizes or need adult sizing please email PTO. We are so grateful for all our Deer Creek Star students and staff members! Our staff members work hard all year to help our students shine. The PTO works throughout the year to recognize all our staff for the amazing job they do by funding teacher grants and providing monthly staff appreciation "treats." DCE White Shirts
Did you miss the spirit wear order, but still want a shirt for your child or maybe even for yourself! Deer Creek PTO has some white short sleeve and long sleeve youth and adult size shirts for sale. Shirts must be purchased online via Cheddar Up and will be sent home with your student within a week. Your students may have seen our staff sporting these shirts after their tie-dying them! *We are SOLD OUT of Short Sleeve Youth Large*

Note From Nurse
Dear Parents,
Please check your student's green folders for any correspondence/paperwork I may have sent home today. For the students whose parents have indicated that your child has a food allergy or intolerance, you will find a permission slip for popsicles the PTO will provide for Field Day and the classroom end of the year parties. If your child has received a form, fill out and return by the date specified on the form.
For the students that have medication(s) kept and used in the clinic during the year, fill out the paperwork which tells me if I may send home your child's medications in your their backpack on the last day of school or if you will come to pick it up from the office. Any medications that are not picked up will be properly disposed of by Wednesday, May 29th. Also, the paperwork for the 2024-25 school year will be found in the green folders to have the Dr fill out and sign. The week before school starts, please drop off the Doctor's paperwork and medications in the original bottle/packaging . This will help you and your student have a smoother start to a new school year.
