New Face in the Office!

Please help us welcome our new Office Assistant, Chris Yule! Chris comes to us with previous experience in an elementary school office, as well as a background in the entertainment business. Welcome, Chris! We are happy you're here.

🚘Reminders about Car Drop Off 🚘

Parents & Caregivers,

Please remember when you're dropping your child off in the lower parking lot you are asked to stay in your car and move as far forward as possible before allowing your child to get out of the car. We know that our younger students go in at the front part of the school, but they are able to walk to that door and it helps us keep traffic flowing if all drivers continue to move to the farthest point forward.

If your child cannot unbuckle themselves you need to park your car in a parking space to assist them.

Also, please remember the front parking lot is for busses only until 8:45 (unless you have a handicapped parking pass displayed). All car drop offs should be happening in the lower lot.

Important Update on Dismissal

Parents & Caregivers,

If you are picking up your child at the flagpole or meeting them on the grassy hill by the flagpole we ask that you refrain from letting them play in that area. We have safety concerns regarding our students. As they play games like Tag & Chase they are not paying attention to where they are running and we've observed them running into the parking lot when busses & cars are departing and running onto the sidewalk while we are trying to supervise pickup.

If you would like your child to have some time to play after school you are welcome to take them to the playground. Students are allowed on the playground after school as long as they are accompanied by their parents/caregivers.

Thank you for helping us keep kids safe! ☺️

Change of Go Home Plans?

We know that families may change how their student goes home some time. We definitely recommend that this not be a regular thing as it can be confusing for your student / teacher / office.

If you are changing how your student is going home, please make sure you contact the office. You may email fndly-communications@beaverton.k12.or.us or phone 503.356.2100.

Notifying the office allows them to know exactly where your student should be and helps us keep them safe!

Thank you for your help!
