Family Newsletter - Week of September 9
Welcome to the 2024-25 School Year with Brandywine Early Eduation Program
Dear Brandywine Early Education Families,
Welcome back to a brand-new school year! We’re thrilled to see how much the children have enjoyed their first few days and are settling into the new routines. As we continue the year, we want to remind families about the importance of attendance. Regular attendance and punctuality set the tone for success, so please be sure your child arrives on time each day.
In addition, we’ve included the snack and lunch menus for the month of September. All children at our sites are served free of charge, but you may also send in snack and lunch from home (only full-day students eat lunch at school).
And as a quick reminder, school is closed this Tuesday for State Election Day. We hope evveryone has had a wonderful first week and a fantastic weekend. Thank you for your cooperation and support!"

Attendance & Tardies
Absences
Brandywine School District requires that parents/guardians submit a written notice for any/all of the following:
- All cases of absence or late arrival
- Requests for early dismissal
- Notification of extended absence
To make this request process easier for our BSD families, we've created an electronic form. When you hit "send," the information you provide will automatically be sent to the attendance secretary at your child's school. You will receive a message on your screen confirming this once you've completed this form. You may also send in an absence note in your child's folder/backpack.
Tardies
Open House/ Back to School Nights
Open House/Back-to-School Nights are coming up soon! This is a great opportunity to learn more about our programs, including the curriculum and what a typical day looks like for your child. Please note, this event is not intended for discussing individual students. Parent-teacher conferences will be scheduled for October 24-25, where you'll have dedicated time to discuss your child's progress.
Please join us for our first PTA Meeting of the year!!!
We hope you can join us for our first PTA meeting of the year. We will post the link for the virtual meeting on Class Dojo. It will be at 6:00 this Thursday. We hope to see you there!!!
