The Week Ahead at AES

Hello, Golden Dolphins!

We did it! The final week of school was filled with celebrations, parties, promotion, and good byes.

A million thanks to EVERYONE who makes Ashburn Elementary the amazing school community and family that we are! We wish our 5th graders the best of luck as they end their journey with us and continue on to middle school. We say good bye to some families who have been with Ashburn longer than many of the staff. However...once a Golden Dolphin, always a Golden Dolphin!

We wish all of our fathers, grandfathers, and father figures a Happy Father's Day!

A Message from Mrs. Walthour:

Good afternoon, Golden Dolphins,

Thank you for the gifts, cards, flowers and well wishes. I am truly blown away by your generosity. As I prepare to begin the next chapter in my life, I wanted to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude to each and every one of you. The journey we have shared at Ashburn Elementary has been nothing short of remarkable. The Golden Dolphin community have been outstanding partners with Ashburn Elementary School and I know that you will continue to do so.

Thank you, parents for entrusting me with the education and well being of your children. Your unwavering support, encouragement and collaboration have been invaluable. I have had the pleasure of watching your children grow and develop over the years and I am forever grateful for the privilege of being part of their education journey.

Thank you for the hours of volunteer service given to this amazing school. I loved the way that you support our PTO and the many ways you go above and beyond to make our teachers feel appreciated. Our school’s mission is to educate students in an inclusive and affirming environment that will empower all students to become lifelong learners and empathetic citizens. Thank you for partnering with me to help us live out this mission for our Golden Dolphins.
