Colder temperatures and snow are upon us!

Please keep in mind when the temperature is 30 degrees and above the children will continue to line up outside as well as go out for recess. It is important that they are adequately prepared for the cold temperatures. Please be sure to dress your children appropriately for the weather.

Keep your calendar free this weekend! Join the ABC Parent Group on Saturday, December 2nd from 9-2pm at Lincoln Middle School for their Vendor/Craft Fair.

Come shop and support local businesses for the Holiday Season!

There have been an increased number of tardy students at Kennedy School. Morning routines are always more difficult when it is cold outside. Please allow yourself extra time to get to school. Students are to arrive between 7:40am-7:55am.

PreK and PATS families are invited to our annual Tree Decorating Party on Wednesday, December 13th from 2:00pm-3:00pm in the cafeteria.

December 7th: Winter Wonderland @ LMS (6:30pm-8:30pm)

December 12th: SD81 Winter Choral Concert @ LMS (6:30pm)

December 15th: Santa Visits Kennedy School

December 19th: SD81 Winter Band Concert @ LMS (6:30pm)

December 20th: Board of Education Meeting @ LMS (7:00pm)

December 22nd: Last day of school before break)

December 23rd-January 7th WINTER BREAK

January 8th: School Resumes

Make time each week for family reading! Not only is this quality time to spend with kids, but it feeds their brains! Reading to and with your child supports the love of literacy. Reading in front of your child models the importance of reading! Take a few moments each night to read together as a family, to read aloud to your child, or to listen to your child read. Remember, it doesn't always have to be a book! You can read magazines, articles, poetry, something on the Internet, a recipe, pamphlet, brochure, etc. Reading is EVERYWHERE!
