COME JOIN OUR PARADE!
Dr. Justina Ford Elementary School invites our families, neighbors, and community members to our annual Veterans Day Parade on Monday, November 11, at 1:30pm. Veterans are invited to participate by driving in the parade. Feel free to decorate your car, truck, or float! If you are a veteran interested in being part of our parade, please fill out the following form: Veterans Day Parade Participants
We are also creating a Veterans' Day slideshow and would love to honor those from our Ford Family who are serving or have served! If you have a veteran in your life you'd like to be included, please email Ms. Oaster (moaster@lps.k12.co.us) a picture, your student's name, your veteran's name, and the branch in which they served. We need all submissions by Tuesday, November 5th.

Counseling Corner
This month our PBIS Life Skill focus is Acting Respectfully. We act respectfully by behaving in a way that shows you care about others, yourself, and your school. This will be introduced at our upcoming Thursday Teamwork Morning Meeting.
With the Winter Season coming up, there is so much opportunity for kids and families to spend time together and enjoy! For many kids and families, this is an exciting time of celebrations. For some, in addition to these feelings, it may be a time that feels stressful due to many factors. Because of this, we are sharing some ideas for how to recognize if your child may be feeling stressed or uncomfortable and some healthy coping strategies to use for kids (and adults!). As always, our Mental Health team is here to support you and your child. If needed, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us.
