5 Essentials Parent Survey
To participate in the parent survey, please visit https://survey.5-essentials.org/Illinois/ and select the appropriate survey to begin. There will also be an opportunity to participate during parent-teacher conferences. If you have not yet participated, the parent survey will be available until March 30, 2024.

Shark Tank Inventors Club
Join us for the Shark Tank Inventors Club, an exciting new intramural program for middle school students! Participants will embark on an entrepreneurial journey, identifying problems, creating innovative solutions, and launching their own products or services. Sessions begin the week of March 11, with MSN sessions on Tuesdays and MSS sessions on Thursdays from 2:50-4 p.m. The program culminates in a Shark Tank Inventor Fair on May 16, 2024, where students will showcase their creations. Led by Assistant Superintendent of Innovative Learning, Dr. Karen Maturo, this is an opportunity for students to develop essential business skills and unleash their creativity. Sign up closes on March 1st—don't miss out, register now! Use the QR code or click the link to sign up, and the coach will be in touch soon.
Middle School Intramural Esports
Esports is a new intramural that will allow you to play your classmates in competitive video games for an hour and a half after the school day ends. We will cover and learn how video games can and are played competitively and learn the skills used by professionals to beat the competition. For this round of intramurals, we will be using Nintendo Switch and focusing on Super Smash Bros Ultimate and Mario Kart 8.
The intramural will run for a six week cycle starting the week of February 12. More information will be shared soon by the coaches at your specific school.
Kindergarten Information Night
We're thrilled to announce that Kindergarten Information Night was a resounding success! A huge thank you to all the incoming families who joined us last night, and a special thanks to everyone who helped make it happen!

- The pre-registration form is now live! Ensure a smooth enrollment process by completing the form.
- Current, Lincoln students do NOT need to complete the registration form, the Returning Student Registration form will be available soon!

Hawthorn Food Pantry Distribution

Summer Program offerings include Hawthorn Music Camp, Hawthorn Enrichment Institute (HEI), Extended School Year (ESY), Summer Scholars, and Early Start Kindergarten. More information about program offerings and registration will be shared after winter break.
Summer School Dates: Monday, June 10 - Tuesday, July 9.
Session 1: June 10, 11, 12, 13, 17, 18, 20 (HEI)
- Session 2: June 24, 25, 26, 27 & July 1, 2, 8, 9 (HEI and Music Camp)
No School: June 19, July 3, July 4, Fridays.

STEAMers Program
Join Mundelein School District 75 for our Saturday STEAMers Program this winter! Hosted by the D75 STEAM Foundation, these engaging courses are open to students and community members from neighboring areas. Classes will run from February 17th to March 16th on Saturday mornings from 9AM to 11:50AM at Carl Sandburg Middle School in Mundelein. Registration deadline is Friday, February 9th. Don't miss out on this opportunity—spread the word to your families or those interested. Cost is $25 per class plus materials fees. Register now!
Special Gifts Theatre Presents: The Lion King Jr.
Come out and see the Musical Theatre Libertyville Program's production of The Lion King Jr.! Performances will take place on Saturday, February 10, and Sunday, February 11 at 2 pm at Copeland Manor School (lobby doors open at 1:30 pm).
