This week, we are excited to spotlight our fifth grade students for their ukulele performances. At PCK, we believe in fostering a well-rounded curriculum that not only focuses on academics but also encourages the artistic development of our students. These performances are a wonderful example of how our curriculum provides opportunities for students to express themselves creatively and grow in their artistic abilities.
We are proud of their hard work and dedication, and have enjoyed to sharing their talents with our families. Thank you for supporting our students as they continue to develop both inside and outside the classroom.
We are thrilled to share some exciting news with our community. Last night at the Parker Library, not one, but both of our Battle of the Books teams won their respective championships!
Our third and fourth grade team triumphed over American Academy Motsenbocker with a score of 48-43, while our fifth and sixth grade team defeated Mammoth Heights by a score of 54-30. These teams exemplify the dedication, teamwork, and academic excellence that define what it means to be a PCK student.
We are incredibly proud of their achievements and congratulate both teams for performing at the highest level in this competition. They have made our school proud, and we celebrate their success!
We wanted to share the field trip opportunities our students have experienced recently, and have coming up on the horizon.
Last week, our second grade students had the unique opportunity to visit the Mizel Arts and Culture Center. This experience allowed them to explore the importance of arts and culture, which are essential components of a well-rounded education.
Looking ahead, our fourth grade students will soon visit the History Colorado Center to delve into the fascinating history of our state. Additionally, our fifth and sixth grade students will participate in Young Ameritowne, where they will have the chance to apply their skills and knowledge in a real-world workforce setting.
The deadline to purchase a yearbook is fast approaching, with all orders due by Friday, April 25. To purchase your yearbook, please use PCK’s unique school code: 1015343699083637. All orders must be placed through Treering.com.
We would like to take a moment to remind everyone of our dress code policy regarding jewelry and accessories, which applies to all students from kindergarten through eighth grade.
Recently, we have observed an increase in students not adhering to the guidelines, particularly concerning earrings. For safety reasons, students are not permitted to wear dangling or hoop earrings. Additionally, only one stud earring per ear is allowed.
We kindly ask for your assistance in ensuring that our students follow these guidelines to promote a safe and respectful learning environment. Thank you for your assistance in upholding our school’s policies.
Just a friendly reminder that tomorrow, March 7, is our PCK Hoops for Hearts day. All students can enjoy a full dress-down day with a $2 donation to our Kids Heart Challenge. If your student chooses not to participate, they are welcome to wear their full spirit wear instead.
Later in the afternoon, our eighth-grade players will face off against our staff in an exciting Hoops for Hearts basketball game. We’re proud to support the American Heart Association through this challenge, and we can’t wait to see our students join in the fun as they compete with our staff in this friendly matchup.
It's that time again! As we prepare for CMAS testing in April, we’re seeking your support with snack donations to keep our students energized.
Please use the sign-up sheet below to donate snacks by grade level. When dropping off your donations, kindly label the box with the grade level. Thank you for helping our students perform their best.

The next SAC meeting is set for Tuesday, March 11 at 8:15 a.m. We will be reviewing the PCK 2025-26 budget proposal, as well as beginning the process of building our annual end of the year survey. We welcome your participation and input as we strive to enhance our school community.
As always, if you have any questions about the SAC or would like to raise any topics at the meeting, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us at SAC@ckcs.net.
This week, we are proud to shine our Volunteer Spotlight on Tony Le. Tony generously volunteered his time as Safety Dad and went above and beyond by stepping up to help our theatre department assemble much needed storage space for instruments that previously did not have a proper home.
Safety Dads play a crucial role at PCK, stepping in wherever assistance is needed, and Tony’s dedication and support exemplify the spirit of our school. His willingness to lend a helping hand and ensure our school’s needs are met is truly appreciated.
Thank you, Tony, for your invaluable contributions to PCK. Your efforts help make PCK a stronger, more connected community, and we are grateful for all that you do!
