Welcome 2025
Principal's Message – January 2025
Dear Carberry Families,
Happy New Year! I hope you all had a wonderful and restful holiday season filled with joy, laughter, and quality time with loved ones. As we welcome 2025, it’s a perfect time to reflect, reset, and refocus for the second half of the school year. At Carberry Elementary, we are excited to continue our journey of learning, growth, and community connection.
January is a great opportunity to revisit routines and habits that set our students up for success, both academically and personally. Here are a few reminders to help make this new year productive and positive:
1. Establish Healthy Routines: A good night’s sleep, balanced meals, and consistent morning routines help students arrive at school ready to learn. Studies show that children perform better academically when they are well-rested and energized.
2. Develop Strong Study Habits: Encourage your child to read daily and set aside time for homework in a quiet space. Small, consistent efforts build strong habits that will serve them well throughout their education.
3. Take Care of Mental Health: The winter months can be tough, and it’s important to check in with your children. Encourage open conversations about their feelings, and remind them that it’s okay to ask for help. A positive mindset, breaks for fresh air and exercise, and time to enjoy hobbies can do wonders for mental well-being.
4. Stay Connected: Communication is key. Be sure to stay engaged with school updates through our newsletters, website, and classroom communications. If you have questions or concerns, don’t hesitate to reach out to your child’s teacher or our office.
We are also encouraging all students to focus on kindness and respect in 2025. Whether it’s lending a helping hand, sharing a smile, or showing gratitude, small acts of kindness make a big difference.
Finally, I want to thank you for your continued support and partnership. Carberry Elementary thrives because of our dedicated staff, enthusiastic students, and wonderful families like you. Let’s make 2025 a year full of achievements, growth, and positive memories!
Wishing you all a happy, healthy, and successful new year. Together, let’s make it a great one!
Warm regards,
Greg Alexander
