Rehearsal Conflicts

We are happy that so many of our band students are participating in other activities.

Football - Attend band after camp this week.
Tennis - Attend band around try-outs.
Senior pictures - Attend band before/after your pictures (please tell Mr. Keyes when your pictures are if you have not already).

Please email me at jeffrey.keyes@comalisd.org with any rehearsal conflicts including the ones listed above so we know where everyone is during band rehearsal times.

Summer Band Camp (Percussion, Winds, and Color Guard)

Wind and Percussion students, please bring the following

Instrument
Sticks, mallets, reeds, accessories
Music
Pencil
Athletic apparel (plain white t-shirt, athletics shorts and shoes )
Water jug filled
Ear plugs for percussion
Sun Screen
Hat
Lunch and snacks

Color Guard students, please bring the following

Water
Sunscreen
Sunglasses
Hat/visor
Wear black athletic clothing appropriate for dancing/moving with gym shoes and hair up

Wolf Band Water Jug

The water jug that is included in the fair share see will be distributed at the end of rehearsal on Monday. Please bring whatever water jug you have on Monday, and then begin using the Wolf Band water jug starting Tuesday. Please make sure to label your Wolf Band water jug with your full name.

Uniform Parts Donations

We are looking for donations of used uniform parts that no longer fit. Please consider donating old compression gear, summer uniforms, and/or marching shoes so we can build an inventory for sizers at registration and move ins until they can order their own uniform parts.

Senior Remind Group

TMF Webstore

The TMF webstore will be open again from July 26th to August 4th. Show shirts will be available at that time. Only letter jackets and the jackets on the TMF webstore are allowed to be worn on top of our uniforms in the stands at football games once it gets cold. These orders will arrive before our first football game on August 30th.

Ultimate Drill Book App

It is highly recommended that all students have Ultimate Drill Book (UDB) on their smart phone if they have one. We will use this application to learn our show. Front ensemble students will not need Ultimate Drill Book as they do not perform any drill moves.

Our drill writer has been hard at work this summer. We already have drill for 3/4 of our show, and students can begin looking at drill on the UDB app right now. We will be having try outs for spots in the show for brass and woodwind players on July 30th, and we will begin learning the show on August 1st.

Here are directions for signing up for our account.

Physicals

Here is the form that is required to be used for the pre-participation physical for marching band. A physical is required every year and must be completed after April 1, 2024 to be used for the 2024-2025 school year. Physicals are due by July 22nd, 2024. Physicals can be emailed to Mr. Keyes.

Opening of Schools Ceremony

Our battery (snares, basses, tenors, cymbals) and Student Leadership Team have been asked to perform at the Comal ISD Opening of Schools on August 7th. Transportation will be provided from Davenport HS. More information to follow.
