Fundraising Update
Fundraising Update: With your support, PAC has raised $8,579 of our initial $25,000 fundraising goal! With your generous contributions, we have been able to fund several new clubs and other student activities. In comparison, by this time last year, PAC had already raised $13,332.
It is clear that we have more work to do and we thank you in advance for your continued contributions to the Unfundraiser and support of our upcoming fundraising events.
PAC Grant Approvals: Have you ever wondered where your donation goes? Funds are used for staff appreciation events throughout the year as well as student clubs and other activities. In order for a new club or initiative to receive PAC funding, Staff members must submit a Grant Application to PAC and present the proposal at one of the monthly meetings. To date, PAC has provided the funding necessary for the following clubs, student activities, staff appreciation, and requests:
- Fall Staff Appreciation breakfast,
- Crayola Colors of the World colored pencils for each classroom,
- Practice shirts for QMS Cross Country Team,
- Pinnies for 8th grade Stinger competitions,
- Second Dungeons & Dragons Club,
- Poetry Club,
- Winter Dance,
- Funding of bus transportation for annual 7th grade field trip,
- Purchase of gift cards for the Aqua Team to use as student incentives, and
- Buzz Bucks Prizes.
Current Initiatives:
PAC is currently collaborating with administration on the following initiatives. While we hope to make each of these a reality, we cannot guarantee that will be the case. Support for these initiatives is largely contingent on feasibility, funds raised, volunteer commitment, and obtaining the appropriate approvals. If you have an interested in assisting with one or more of these initiatives, please email qms.pac@gmail.com or join us at next meeting and we will put you to work!
- Winter Dance ~ Under The Stars – On behalf of PAC, Tri-M, and Student Council, and all 340 students that attended this years' winter dance, please join me in extending our thanks and gratitude to our family chaperones, many of which dropped everything last minute to attend even though their student wasn't. We hope that many more parents/guardians will consider chaperoning in the future. We cannot bring these programs to our students without your involvement. In preparation for the 8th Grade Banquet, we are looking for 35 chaperones. Please consider chaperoning! You must have a valid CORI on file to chaperone.
- March Madness Calendar Fundraiser – It's time to start selling entries to the March Madness Calendar Fundraiser. This is a prize a day calendar fundraiser to pay for the 8th Grade Banquet and other grant requests. There will be 31 chances to win throughout the month of March so get your entries early! More information on ticket sales to follow. Students will sell entries and the top three (3) students in each grade will receive a gift card valued $100 - $50. Get your entries here: https://givebutter.com/qms2025calendar
- 8th Grade Banquet – This years’ 8th grade banquet and end of year celebration will be themed “A Night at the Tropics”. We hope to hold the event at the enVision hotel (in Mansfield) on Monday, June 16th from 6:30 - 8:30. In order for this event to be a success, we will need at least 35 parents/guardians to serve as chaperones. In order to chaperone, parents/guardians must have a valid CORI on file with Mansfield Public Schools. Additional details will be provided once they are available.
- Board Positions Available – At the end of this school year, three board members will complete their service to the students at QMS. These vacancies create an opportunity for others to get more involved on a more regular basis. Please consider volunteering. You will make a difference in the middle school experience of our students. Join us at an upcoming meeting or reach out to a current board member directly for more information. As the saying goes, many hands make for light work!

A Night at the Tropics ~ 8th Grade Banquet
Each year PAC sponsors the annual 8th grade banquet to celebrate the official end of middle school. Historically this celebration has been a tropical island-themed event held outdoors in the QMS courtyard with a DJ and pizza. Last year, we were able to hold the event at a local hotel and plan to do the same this year. However, support for any PAC initiative is largely contingent on feasibility, funds raised, volunteer commitment, and obtaining the appropriate approvals. What we will be able to do will largely be contingent on you, our parents and guardians.
We hope to hold “A Night at the Tropics” at the enVision hotel in Mansfield on Monday, June 16th 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm. However, as with all PAC initiatives, this is contingent on feasibility, funds raised, volunteer commitment, and obtaining the appropriate approvals.
While we are planning to hold this years’ 8th Grade Banquet and end of year celebration, “A Night at the Tropics”, at the enVision hotel, we cannot do it without your involvement and commitment! We need to secure a minimum of thirty-five (35) chaperones to hold the event off of school grounds. Rest assured that if it is not possible to hold the event at the hotel, the celebration will take place on school grounds as has been customary for many, many years. We will keep you informed as final decisions are made.
Please use the link below to let us know if you are willing to chaperone or volunteer for the event.
In order to chaperone, parents/guardians must have a valid CORI on file with Mansfield Public Schools EACH YEAR. To volunteer for this event, please stop by the Main Office to complete a CORI form no later than February 28th. Don’t forget to bring a valid MA state issued ID with you.

UNFUNDRAISER
Help us reach out fundraising goal! Your contribution is tax deductible!
Dislike having to sell “stuff” to raise funds for an organization? Well, so do we! In lieu of tasking students and parents with selling typical fundraising items, PAC is pleased to offer a tax deductible option to take the hassle out of fundraising. Your participation is completely voluntary and very much appreciated! You can simply make a donation via Venmo, PayPal, or check!
Your donations will enable us to support our students and teachers by providing the funds for enrichment, technology, flexible seating, speaker events and so much more. Our goal is to raise $15,000 this year. This will put us in a terrific position to support all of our ongoing student activities and provide an opportunity to see what new initiatives we can help with.
_____ $25 - I don’t want to buy chocolate bars, please take this donation instead.
_____ $50 - I don’t want to sell coupon books so here’s a better alternative.
_____ $100 or $_______ Here’s a donation to show my appreciation for not having to buy, sell, or do anything else for fundraising this year.
Payments can be made via PayPal at QMS UnFundraiser Donation, Venmo @QMS-PAC, or send a check payable to "QMS PAC" to QMS PAC, 240 East Street, Mansfield, MA 02048. Remember, donations are tax deductible.
