Familias de Hazelbrook,

Gracias a quienes pudieron asistir a nuestra noche de regreso a clases. Fue genial poder conocer a tantos de ustedes en persona y escuchar acerca de la experiencia de sus estudiantes en HMS hasta el momento este año escolar. Seguimos estableciendo un entorno seguro y de apoyo para todos los estudiantes, y ustedes son una parte fundamental de ese viaje.

Las primeras 3 semanas de clases han sido positivas y han estado llenas de nuevas amistades, nuevas experiencias de aprendizaje y nuevas rutinas. Esperamos que sus estudiantes compartan parte de su día con ustedes en casa, pero como siempre, si tienen preguntas, no duden en comunicarse con el maestro, el consejero o un administrador de sus estudiantes. Seguimos manteniendo nuestras expectativas de teléfonos celulares y tardanzas, y los estudiantes están haciendo un gran trabajo. Continúen reforzando estos hábitos en casa y cuéntenos qué necesita su hijo para tener éxito.

Mientras miramos hacia el futuro, octubre nos trae nuestros Días de Asociación Familiar. Estén atentos a la información de inscripción la primera semana de octubre. Sabemos que el tiempo es limitado, pero nos gustaría poder hablar con usted sobre el progreso de su estudiante y cómo podemos colaborar para lograr resultados exitosos.

Thank you to those who were able to attend our back to school night. It was great to get to meet so many of you in-person and hear about your student's experience at HMS so far this school year. We are continuing to establish a safe and supportive environment for all students, and you are a critical part of that journey.

The first 3 weeks of school have been positive, and have been filled with new friendships, new learning experiences, and new routines. Hopefully your students are sharing some of their day with you at home, but as always, if you have questions, don't hesitate to reach out to your students' teacher, counselor, or an administrator. We continue to maintain our cell phone and tardy expectations, and students are doing a great job. Please continue to reinforce these habits at home and let us know what your child needs to be successful.

As we look ahead, October brings us to our Family Partnership Days. Be on the lookout for sign-up information the first week of October. We know time is limited, but we would appreciate getting to check-in with you about your student's progress and how we can collaborate to create successful outcomes.

Tualatin Public Library welcomes YOU to the Teen Room! The Teen Room is a space reserved for students in grades 6-12. (The only adults allowed to stay in the room are library staff.)

There's Art supplies. Board games. Maker stuff. Computers. Space. And on weekends and school’s out days—video gaming!

Every Friday night is Teen Movie Night. After the library closes on Fridays, the Teen Room stays open for you to hang out and watch a movie (6-8:30pm). Questions? Email Aimee at ameuchel@tualatin.gov.
