Zaylen Boston Selected As Rotary Club Student of the Quarter
We’re proud to announce that, earlier today, Dublin High School Senior Zaylen Boston was named as one of the Rotary Club of Dublin, Georgia, USA Students of the Quarter, a recognition of his outstanding achievements in academics, leadership, and service!
A member of the Fighting Irish Family since Kindergarten, Zaylen has attended Susie Dasher Elementary, Dublin Middle School, and now Dublin High School, where he has become a model of excellence and dedication.
Currently completing his Air Force JROTC pathway, Zaylen serves as Support Squadron Commander, helping lead Dublin High School’s AFJROTC program to national recognition in service hours for two consecutive years. His commitment to leadership is evident in his many roles, including serving as a Councilman for Ward 1 on the City of Dublin Youth Council, a member of the Citizens Bank of Laurens County Advisory Council, and as part of the Dublin City Schools Superintendent’s Advisory Council. Within Dublin High School, he has taken on responsibilities as the Historian for the Student Government Association and the DHS Media Center Advisory Council, where his contributions continue to enrich the student experience.
Beyond leadership, Zaylen’s academic excellence has been recognized with honors such as the UGA Certificate of Merit, the Superintendent’s Scholar Award, and designation as a Mercer Case Scholar. A member of prestigious organizations like the National Society of High School Scholars, the National Beta Club, and Lex Societas (the National Society for Future Attorneys), Zaylen’s dedication to scholarship is matched only by his passion for giving back to his community.
Additionally, Zaylen’s talents extend to the fine arts, where he has excelled as a musician in the Fighting Irish Marching and Concert Band, earning recognition as First Chair Clarinet and receiving top honors in university honor bands, including Chair #1 in the University of Georgia Honor Symphonic Band and Mercer University Honor Band Festival.
A three-sport student-athlete, Zaylen has also been a vital member of the Dublin High School Soccer, Tennis, and Cross Country Teams, demonstrating discipline and perseverance in every endeavor. Outside of school, he balances part-time work with an impressive commitment to community service, logging over 250 service hours through the Beta Club, JROTC, and SkillsUSA.
Although he's currently still deciding where he’ll attend, Zaylen has already been accepted to 16 colleges and universities and plans to major in Political Science! His goal is to become an attorney and return to Laurens County to give back to the community that has supported him throughout his life.
He shares that “Dublin City Schools is one of the best, if not the best, educational experiences. It’s prepared me in multiple ways and multiple capacities. I’ve been able to take some of the hardest classes I feel like I will ever take in my entire college career through dual enrollment, especially the math classes. I took them through GMC, but they were actually taught on campus by Mr. Rowe. Dublin City Schools definitely prepares you for what life is going to be after high school.”
Fighting Irish Family, join us in celebrating Zaylen’s success and looking forward to the bright future ahead for this extraordinary young man!

When families sign up, they'll receive:
- 2 to 3 books,
- Discussion questions and a craft activity for each book,
- Necessary craft supplies, and
- A caregiver guide with quick tips and activities to nurture literacy development!
All at NO COST!
