Are You an Incoming 9th Grade Student? Learn More About Riverside!
As we get closer to the end of the school year, we know that our 8th grade students are eagerly anticipating their transition to high school. As we near the summer, we want to continue sharing information about Riverside High School, and remind you that RHS is an option for any 8th grade student for next school year. Students can still enroll at Riverside through the end of the year. Please contact the Riverside office at 503-673-7375 or email Michelle Averill if you’d like to enroll at Riverside.
If you’re interested in Riverside but have questions or would like to speak to a staff member, please contact our office! We can’t wait to share more about our school and explore whether or not it might be a good fit. Riverside will host an information night for interested students and families this Wednesday, May 15, from 6-7 pm at Riverside High School; 2900 SW Borland Road, Tualatin.

Apply for the Long Range Planning Committee
There are currently three vacancies on the WLWV Long Range Planning Committee (LRPC). The LRPC is a seven member citizen committee responsible for guiding the development of the Long Range Plan, which provides a rational framework for evaluating and addressing future school facility needs as West Linn and Wilsonville grow. LRPC meetings are held in-person quarterly in the evenings and are approximately 2 hours in length.
Interested community members are encouraged to apply today or learn more by visiting the district website.
Important FAFSA Information for High School Seniors
To be eligible for most types of financial aid, students must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or the Oregon Student Aid Application (ORSAA). These applications compile financial information and other details about students and families, which the US Department of Education and the State of Oregon use to determine financial need and eligibility for various financial aid opportunities. The 2024-25 FAFSA and ORSAA are open - apply now!
When applying, there are important changes this year for students to keep in mind.
- New for 2024-25, each contributor must enter and complete the form separately, answering only questions that are pertinent to them.
- There are a significant number of applications that have been started but cannot be completed until other contributors finish their work.
Please also note that according to the U.S. Department of Education, technical issues that prevented students whose parents lack social security numbers from submitting have been resolved.

Honor A Student. Create A Memorial. Participate in a WLWV Performing Arts Center Seat program.
The West Linn Heritage Seat and Wilsonville Legacy Seat programs in association with WLWV Music and Arts Partners (MAP) were created to raise money for the performing arts centers. These funds are used to keep the facility in a state-of-the-art condition by paying for specialty items such as lighting, sound equipment and furnishings.
Seat Sponsorship: Put your name, group name or the name of anyone you wish to honor on a seat in the auditorium. Seats will be named with a brass plate on the armrest for the life of the seat.

Volunteer in WLWV Schools!
The West Linn-Wilsonville School District uses HelpCounter for volunteer registration and sign-in to increase safety and security for all students. Interested volunteers can register to volunteer in WLWV schools by visiting the Volunteer Registration webpage. Simply select 'Start' to fill out your application, which includes a background check. The first time that volunteers sign-in to volunteer at any WLWV school they will be prompted to accept a Volunteer Agreement.
Volunteers must also re-register every three years, or when volunteering at a new school. Note that volunteer coaches register through a different process. Contact your school's athletic director or principal for more information.
