Dear families,
We had an amazing time in D.C.! Many memories were created and the students were respectful, responsive, flexible, and high-spirited. I'm sure you've heard many stories by now.
I wish to extend a huge thank you to Christina Pappas for being my CPO liaison this year. Thank you also to Stacey Ladieu, Pam Brown, Anne Devine, and the numerous parents who volunteered their time to help with the Frozen Fundraiser, T-shirts, sponsors, snacks, and L-S bags. And thank you to all of you for your support in giving our 8th graders an experience they will never forget.
As part of the trip package, all travelers will receive a whole group photograph, which measures 10" x 30". These photos will be distributed to students at the end of the day on June 7th. Due to their size, students will roll them in an elastic band to avoid folds and tears. A digital image of it is posted below.
Also, Ms. Kerrigan has filtered through hundreds of photos and put them into a 16-minute video set to music. I will post the video on Schoology, and it's included here for your enjoyment as well. I dare you to watch and not cry!
This is my last D.C. Digest until September, when the adventure begins all over again. I wish you a wonderful summer vacation and best of luck as you send your child off to high school in the fall. It's been my pleasure to provide this experience for our students.
