Reading is so important at Heritage Elementary! We know that the more books students read, the better readers they become. Our students may visit the library whenever they are ready for new books. Our top library patrons are recognized each week to celebrate their dedication to reading. These students have special badges to wear or display on their desk throughout the week. Classes with the most circulations in 1st quarter got to celebrate with a special story time and snack. Congratulations to Mrs. Brown's 2nd graders, Mrs. Herst's 1st graders, and Mrs. Willoughby's kindergartners!

The OFP wants to thank everyone for their participation in the Spook-a-thon! We are working on getting our totals to see how close we got to our goal. We will announce them as soon as we get them.

We are proud to announce that we will be having a very special Veterans Day assembly on Friday, November 8th. This event will be for all Heritage students and any of our veterans.

The schedule for the day will be as follows:

8:00-8:30 -- Breakfast with their student

8:30-8:50 -- Veterans are invited to classrooms

9:15-9:45 -- School-wide Assembly

Mrs. Fults has been working with our students to provide a great lineup of patriotic songs.

School will not be in session the week of November 25-29.
