Come collaborate with me, the faculty, and fellow parents at the next School Accountability Committee (SAC) meeting! It’s a relaxed, informative space where you can share your viewpoint and learn about the behind-the-scenes strategies and decisions that shape our school, like budgets, policies, and school goals. This is a great chance to join forces with others in our school community and shape our representation to the district (DAC).

State Championships - From 10/07/2024 to 12/10/2024
As we approach the State Championships, we anticipate that many of our sports teams will make the playoffs and compete at the state finals. Attention ALL Skiers - important information below! Do not miss these deadlines!
High School Alpine Skiers
There will be a required virtual informational meeting for High School Alpine Skiers & Families on Tuesday, October 22 @ 6 pm via this Zoom Link. Registration will open the morning of October 28 and it will close at noon on Friday, November 15. Late registrations will not be accepted. If you are unable to attend the meeting, contact Coaches Joshua Lynch and Krista Crabtree no later than Friday, October 25.
High School Nordic Skiers
There will be a required in-person informational meeting for High School Nordic Skiers & Families on Monday, October 28 @ 6 pm at Nederland Middle-Senior High School. Registration will open the morning of October 28 and it will close at noon on Friday, November 15. If you are unable to attend the meeting, contact Coach Dan Vardamis no later than Friday, October 25.

Fairview on the Fairways Fundraiser on 10/14/2024 at 11:00 AM
October 14th is the second annual Fairview on the Fairways Golf Tournament at Boulder Country Club! 11am start. Includes games, a raffle, lunch, and golfing for a great cause. Apply for the Green Star Schools Zero Waste Mini-Grant! Apply by 10/25/2024
Get one of four free Zero Waste Event Kits or apply for funds to expand or replenish an existing kit. New this year, you can also purchase a Zero Waste Event Kit for $135. Each kit includes 30 reusable place settings (plates, cups, utensils, and napkins) in a storage container. It’s simple: celebrate, wash, and reuse! Host your event, wash the items afterward, and store them for the next event. Anyone hosting a school-based event with food service, such as faculty meetings or classroom celebrations, can use the kit. To apply, submit your application by Friday, October 25, 2024; winners will be announced by November 1, 2024, and kits will be delivered by November 8, 2024. Ready to choose reuse? Apply here! Trick-or-Treat Street is here! 10/29 from 5-7pM
It’s that time of year again, and Fairview is getting ready to host our annual Trick or Treat Street on October 29th from 5-7PM! In case you’re unaware, Trick or Treat Street is a yearly tradition where clubs at Fairview decorate a room in the 600 hall and then hand out candy to young children who “Trick or Treat” throughout the hallway. If you’re interested in hosting a room, Student Council will send out an email with a request form to all club leaders. Make sure to fill it out as soon as possible and Student Council will follow up with your assigned room.

Enroll Now: Fall Online Courses to Support Gifted Learners – Space is Limited!
We are excited to offer three fall online asynchronous courses: The Gifted Learner, Culturally-Linguistically Diverse Gifted Learners, and Addressing the Social-Emotional Needs of Gifted Students. These multi-week courses run from September 16th to November 10th, 2024, and are designed to help participants understand and support the unique needs of gifted students. Open to everyone, regardless of location or profession, these fully online courses offer the flexibility to learn at your own pace. Colorado educators can earn credits toward recertification, while graduate credit is available through Adams State University. Space is limited, so be sure to sign up soon!
