EMERSON MIDDLE SCHOOL MISSION
PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE 03/14/25
Dear Emerson Families,
We were thrilled to welcome our incoming 7th graders for a building tour, showcasing all the wonderful aspects of our Eagle Pride. Next week, our counselors and administration will head over to Copper Upper Elementary to guide students through the scheduling process for the fall of 2025. Remember, our current 7th grade course selections are due !
Great news for flower lovers! Our Flower Sale has been extended until March 20th!
We're just one week away from the end of card marking 3, and next week brings our CSAs (assessments/exams) on March 19th and 20th, followed by a well-deserved spring recess. Upon our return in April, we'll be in the final stretch of card marking 4. Please note: we have NO SCHOOL on April 3rd for professional development, and our 8th graders will take the PSAT on April 9th, which will be a half-day from 8:00 AM to 11:10 AM. The CSA schedule can be found later in this newsletter.
A huge round of applause for our talented Emerson orchestra! They recently participated in the MMEA Instrumental Music Clinic at Belleville High School, collaborating with the Frost Middle School orchestra. Together, they delivered a truly impressive concert, earning praise and valuable feedback from the clinicians. Our orchestra students represented Emerson exceptionally well with their outstanding performance and mature conduct. Congratulations to all our musicians!
With a beautiful weekend ahead, we hope you all have the opportunity to get out and enjoy it.
Remember to wear green on Monday to kick off our spirit week!
With Eagle Pride,
Bruce Rivera

Emerson Student Handbook & Code of Conduct
- This has been updated for the 2024-20254 school year.
- It can be accessed HERE.
- Please partner with us by reminding students that cell phones and electronics should be "AWAY FOR THE DAY"!
- All students must keep bags and backpacks in their lockers.
- We do not allow Hats and/or Hoodies to be worn during the school day.
A few key things to note:
The Livonia Parent Advisory Committee (LPAC) seeks parent representation from each Livonia Special Education Program. Parent representative volunteers have a child/children with a disability(ies). The LPAC also provides advisory input on matters regarding improvement of Special Education services within our school district.
Our Facebook page shares information of interest to our families and students.
Here, you will find electronic flyers for programs and events geared toward kids!
We hope that you enjoy the many offerings from around our great community!
If you have a program that you'd like to advertise, please email your flyer to Stacy Jenkins at sjenkins3@livoniapublicschools.org for approval. We follow a set of guidelines for approval and are only able to accept flyers for non-profit organizations that benefit our local children.
Enjoy!
Emerson Clubs
Emerson Middle School has several clubs where students can connect with their peers, learn a new skill, or simply hang out with friends. We've had a volleyball club, robotics club, GSA club, walking club, Pokemon club and homework club. We would love to offer something for everyone! Our club list is always growing, and we're always open to new ideas. If your student has a dream club in mind or if you'd like to be an awesome advisor, let us know! Joining a club is a great way to make new friends, learn new skills, and have a blast!
