Jaguar Success Update
How can a student increase a class grade? Jaguar Success is the KEY!
Jaguar Success is Monday, Tuesday, Thrusday, and Friday of each week, a dedicated 45 minutes for students to attend reteach sessions, retake assemssents, and check out enrichments.
Many of our Jaguars are not using this time intentionally. To gain a better us of the time, please follow these steps:
- Attend ALL sessions you are assigned to. Teachers will pull a student when extra attention is needed in that course. Automatic Emails will be sent home when students are NOT in attendance the Jaguar Success they have been signed up for. This is considered an attendance violation and can result in consequences.
- Sign up for sessions AHEAD of time when you are not teacher assigned. Students can sign up for the following week as early Friday afternoon of the previous week.
- We suggest setting the habit of checking your Jaguar Success every Sunday evening. Sign up for sessions you need or want. Sessions will fill up. Those who are not assigned or who do not sign up will be automatically placed, ussually in a session that will not benefit their course work. Be intentional with your time and sign up for all Jaguar Success session before Monday morning.
Learning Labs Rotate Monday December 2nd
On Monday, December 2nd, we will be rotating learning Learning Labs: Teacher Learning Labs
Why do we rotate? Canyon View High School spaces were designed as student-owned spaces, and teachers include space use in their planning. Each unique space provides a unique learning opportunity. For example, some spaces provide opportunities for small group collaboration while others allow for easier presentations by individuals or teams. Our department chairs work with their teams on space needs and students rotate every three weeks.
Teacher learning labs will NOT update in synergy. Our teachers communicated their new lab locations in class and on students' Google classrooms. We will also have learning lab locations posted around campus. You can also find learning lab locations on the following link: Teacher Learning Labs
