Passover Begins this Week
Happy Passover to all those starting the celebration this week. NO HOMEWORK can be assigned Monday or Tuesday evening. Teachers have been reminded, but please reach out if anyone misses the message. We do our best to mark all holidays that impact homework expectations.
Thank you!
Dear Runkle Families,
As we count down the final 41 days of this school year, we're gearing up for an action-packed season filled with important learning opportunities, fun events, and chances for you to get involved and make a difference in our community.
First and foremost, I want to emphasize the significance of the learning experiences still ahead. Despite the excitement of spring and all its events, there is still valuable curriculum to cover and your child's engagement is crucial as we wrap the academic year on a high note.
Please mark your calendars for some fantastic events in collaboration with Runkle's PTO:
Thursday, April 25: K-6 Early Dismissal at 12.40 p.m. (Conferences)
Wednesday May 1: K-6 Early Dismissal at 12.40 p.m. (Conferences)
Thursday, May 2nd: Runkle Spring Social 7:00-9:30 pm
Thursday, May 16th: Runkle Fun Run (during the school day)
Friday, May 17th: International Night 5:30-7:30 pm
May 20th - 23rd: Runkle Book Fair
Tuesday, June 4th: Runkle Art Show
I would like to make one more plea for your consideration in volunteering for our PTO. As we approach the end of the school year, we are in need of a new Chairperson to lead this vital organization. Whether you're able to take on this role individually or join a small group of parents to divide responsibilities, your contribution will play a significant role in maintaining the strong partnership between our school and the PTO. Our current leader and many volunteers have older students and are moving on to the high school. We really need families with younger students to step up:)
I cannot express how important my relationship with Runkle's PTO has been. I meet monthly with Mette Weigell, PTO Chair, to keep up on events and help plan for upcoming meetings. We thrive on the support of our dedicated families, and your involvement truly makes a difference in the lives of our students. Thank you for your continues commitment to Runkle's community, and I look forward to celebrating the remaining days of this academic year together!
