🌸 Staying Focused Through the 4th Marking Period
As the days get longer and the weather gets warmer, spring brings a burst of energy—and a full calendar! From spring sports and concerts to field trips and family commitments, this season is exciting but can also be overwhelming for students trying to stay focused during the final stretch of the school year.
The 4th marking period is a critical time for students to solidify their learning, finish strong academically, and prepare for the next grade level. We know it can be tough to balance homework with practices, games, and other obligations, but staying engaged now will pay off later.
Here are a few tips to help your child stay on track during this busy season:
✅ Keep a Consistent Routine – With changing schedules, it helps to stick to a regular homework and bedtime routine whenever possible. Consistency provides structure in a hectic time.
✅ Use a Calendar – Help your student use a planner or digital calendar to map out practices, events, and due dates. It’s a great way to develop time management skills.
✅ Prioritize Schoolwork – Encourage your child to tackle school assignments early in the evening, especially on nights when sports or other activities may run late.
✅ Check In Regularly – Ask your child about upcoming tests, projects, and how they’re feeling. These check-ins help them stay accountable and let you offer support when needed.
✅ Celebrate Progress – Take time to recognize your child’s hard work and growth this year. A little encouragement goes a long way!
We believe in our students and know they’re capable of finishing the year strong. Thank you for being such a vital part of their journey—your support makes all the difference!
