THANK YOU PTO
We just wanted to take a moment to express our heartfelt thanks to all of you for celebrating "Superhero Teachers" and Teacher appreciation Week! Your thoughtfulness and appreciation mean so much to us, and it truly made our week! We all feel honored to be a part of such a supportive and caring community. Thank you for recognizing our hard work and dedication. Your gestures are always so appreciated.
Thank you to everyone who participated in the Lemonade War. It was a great week to enjoy a cool drink of lemonade at recess. I truly enjoyed hearing the kid's critiques of the different lemonades each day. Congratulations to Mrs. Nilsen's class, who sold the most lemonade!
Planning for the 2024-25 School Year
Are you moving? Will your child be going to a different school? Please make sure to notify the school office by calling 614-478-5560 or emailing Ms. Schilling at schilingm@gjps.org This will help us as we plan for the new school year. Thank you!
Library News
It's hard to believe we're already winding down to the end of the year. The rest of the year will be dedicated to bringing books back. I will send out overdue notices next week. Please look for this slip of paper and check with your child about their books. Any books that are not returned by the end of the year will be added to your child's Infinite Campus account. Please reach out to me at hoare@gjps.org if you have questions or concerns. Thank you, and please look for summer reading opportunities in a future newsletter!
Spring Mulching- Family Event???
We have had three new incoming kindergarten families volunteer to help with mulch but we still need more help! Let's make the grounds look great for the last week of school. We have 90 bags of mulch to spread. Use the link below to let us know if you can help! Multiple dates are provided to select from!
Hallway Prep Crew???
Exciting news: Jefferson's hallways will receive a fresh coat of paint this summer, but we need your help preparing the walls. Over the years, hot glue, tape, and wax clips used for hanging items on the walls have left residue on the walls. We need help removing the old hot glue, tape, wax, and vinyl letters to prepare for painting. This would be a great social activity for you and a couple of friends to stop in during the day and help scrape the walls. We will provide the scrapers and heat guns you provide the elbow grease!~. This can be done during the school day or can be scheduled once school is out.
Click the "I CAN HELP" link below to let us know you would be willing to help prep the walls!
