Writing: We will begin our positive, self image writing project

Grammar Focus: compound words, nouns, verbs, action verbs and subject-verb agreement

Phonics: Decoding and encoding words with ay: law, saw, dawn, lawn, crawl

Spelling: come, coming, they, our, put

On Mondays, we will use sound boxes to write our spelling words (instead of our agenda). The students will bring the sound boxes home to study through the week.

Reading: We will begin our unit on American Civilization: The Mayans

Harvest – to gather a crop

Thrilled – very excited

Constructing – to build or put something together

Accurate – correct or right

Comprehension Test on Friday

Math: We will use analog and digital clocks to measure time to the hour and half hour.

Science: We will study how living things depend on each other for survival.

Social Studies: We will continue the unit on landforms and natural resources.

Library is every Thursday. Please have your kiddo bring back their library books each Thursday to receive new books. Subject to change due to Librarians schedule. Please see my weekly emails for changes.
