Message from Mrs. Fassbender
We are heading into the last month of school. Staff are working on end of year assessments to determine the progress students have made over the course of the year. We will also be reviewing our school year data to see how we are progressing towards our building goals on the District Strategic Plan.
Staff have been working on planning a variety of field trips and other fun activities to end the year. With that being said, we also want to make sure to continue the regular routines and structures to support our students.
We hope that you and your family will be able to join us for grade level events such as the 4K Picnic and grade level concerts. Dates are attached below.
Thank you families for another amazing school year! Your support for staff is appreciated!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Amy Fassbender

Highlights from the Primary School
Stride with Lodi Pride - Friday, May 2 (THIS WAS RESCHEDULED DUE TO WEATHER)
What is Stride with Pride you ask?
Stride with Pride is our biggest fundraiser of the year to support our students at each school. Stride with Pride is a donation based fundraiser. No need to sell any products or purchase any items. Collect donations from family and friends to support your student in walking as many laps as possible at the track. The Stride with Pride event creates a fun, high energy, and motivational environment for your student to walk or run around the track as many times as they are able.
- How do I donate? Please see the QR Code below. Check made out to: Lodi LPS/LES Parent Group or cash can be collected at each building office.
Bouncy House for Field Day
Here is what we would like to purchase with the money raised this year.
Gaga Pit
Here is what the money raised from Stride with Pride has been used for in the past.
Bus Stops
Just a reminder to all families with bus students. Parents/guardians are required to be at the bus stops. Unfortunately the bus company has had a number of instances where drivers have not been able to drop students off because there was nobody to greet them at the bus stop. Thanks for your help in this!

Message from Ms. Nimmow - Art
We have had a great year in art class! Every student has worked hard, tried their best and made awesome projects. As we wrap up the end of the year, we are starting to pick out projects for the Lodi fair. Each student will choose 1-2 art projects to put on display at the fair. There will be opportunities to win prizes, ribbons and some money! The fair will take place July 11-14th if you are interested in seeing all the great artwork!

Message from Mrs. Winter - School Nurse
Summer times are a great time to plan your child’s wellness check-ups and immunizations:
Plan ahead and arrange to have both your check-up and your child’s wellness check-ups with your healthcare provider this summer. Healthy parents and healthy kids= healthy families.
Are your children’s vaccines up to date? It’s easy to find out. Or look up the records yourself on the Wisconsin Immunization Registry

Mark your calendars for the end-of-the-year medication pick-up:
Please feel free to stop by the Primary School office between 7:30-3:30 May 22- May 30 to pick up your student's medications if you have some that you dropped off during this school year. All medications (except emergency medications) need to be picked up by an adult from the Primary School by the end of the school year. Medications that are not picked up will be disposed of on June 10th.
Any emergency medication (glucagon, bisqsimi, inhalers, epipens) will be kept for the summer school program, or in the building, unless you request them to be returned to you. These medications are renewed on an annual basis rather than by the school year.
Have a great end of the school year!

Health Alert for Measles:
As of April 26, 2024 there have been several cases of measles reported in the midwest with the most recent in Dane County, Wisconsin. The School District of Lodi would like to take this opportunity to provide some information about measles and how to prevent it.
Measles is a viral infection that causes fever, cough, a rash, sore eyes, and can lead to serious complications. Measles spreads very easily, so it is important to protect against infection.
Getting vaccinated is the best way to prevent measles.
Two doses of Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR) vaccine provide the best protection against disease. These doses must be separated by at least 28 days. MMR vaccine is routinely recommended between 12-15 months and the second dose before entering school, at 4-6 years. Waivers to the school requirements are available for religious, health, and personal conviction reasons. However, in the event of an outbreak of measles, students with waivers may be excluded from school until the outbreak is declared over.
It is important for you to check your child’s immunization records to make sure he/she has received two doses of MMR vaccine. You may check your child’s immunization record by logging on to the Wisconsin Immunization Registry (WIR) at https://www.dhs.wisconsin.gov/immunization/wir.htm. or your My Chart account with your healthcare provider.
Please reach out to your School Nurse if you need assistance obtaining a vaccine.

Taher
We are almost done with school already! We had a fun year and tried many new foods. Thank you for being so brave and giving new foods a shot.
I would have to say Rutabagas were not your favorite but you loved pink grapefruit and blood oranges and Kiwi! We will have many more new foods for you to try next year also. Chef Amanda from our corporate office was so happy that so many of you tried the blood oranges! Good luck to our second graders who are moving on to Elementary/OSC. We will miss you here but will see you there! Welcome to our new students coming in-we look forward to serving you!
A special thank you to our lunch ladies-Heather, Ariel, Barb and Dianna for doing such a great job! Have a fun but safe summer! See you next year.
