That's why the Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) is vital to our public schools in Texas. Created by the Texas Education Agency, the TIA puts outstanding teachers on a pathway to earn a six-figure salary.
Today, we had 15 teachers recognized for their outstanding work and were awarded money from the Teacher Incentive Allotment. The total amount awarded is $847,615.
Investing in teachers financially sends a powerful message about the value society places on education. It helps shift the narrative from teaching being seen as a "calling" that demands sacrifices to a respected profession that deserves fair and rewarding compensation.
